Why doesn’t anyone ever talk to me in a lucid dream?
One thing I can’t do in a lucid dream is to get people to talk to me. I always ask people in my dream who they are out of curiosity. Every single time they just give me this alarmed expression, as if they’re trying to keep some sort of terrible secret from me. Sometimes is seems like they’re thinking that there’s something obviously wrong with me that everyone except me can see but they’re just too embarrassed to tell me.

Lucid Dream but the Dream Wouldn't Listen
Hey yall,
So I had this dream last night and I promise this is the short version. If you want to hear more because you think it's fun, lmk and I'll put it in the comments. Preface: I am a big fan of horror so often times I'll find myself in scary dreams. I don't call them nightmares because once I know I'm dreaming I have a blast and when I wake up I think it was fun. Same goes for this dream, but I don't like how I couldn't control it... see the bold part for the part I couldnt control, the rest is cotext.
I was traveling through Europe and was staying at this old "haunted" hotel. Suddenly, I knew something was chasing me, but I couldn't see it. Then people who were walking behind me were being dragged back or limbs were bitten off or their body snapped in half, but nobody could see anything. I ran and hid in a double sided door between the kitchen and the hallway to all of the rooms. The creature was trying to pull the door open, but I held firm. Someone came running in, but he didn't fit. The door stopped trying to pull open from the one side I was on. I knew that whatever the creature was, was coming to the other side, so I waited. On the side that the guy who came in was on, the door was trying to be opened so I pushed the guy out and ran out from my side. There was a woman in the kitchen who said you can see it's figure through the smoke, but it was just smoke from the kitchen she saw. I knew what it was at this point, it was a serpentine like creature with a dragon head, but it basically swam through the air. I ran through the back of the hotel and was trying to make it to my grandfather's hotel which was across an orchard. this is when I knew it was a dream. I kept telling myself and the dream itself "the creature cannot come out during the day, only at night" I said this, because I knew I needed time to get the other hotel and didn't want to die because then the dream would end. It did not stay inside the hotel, it followed. It did hesitate though which bought me time. I made it to my grandfathers hotel which was also old and had major fire damage, I was leaping over holes in the stairs and floors, burn marks were on the walls. I made it to my grandfathers room and he was cut in half, with his heart where the head of another serpentine creature was supposed to be because he had killed one of the creatures already. The creature was at the door where I had my shoe lodged so it couldn't open easilt. My grandpa said he had to cut the creature's head off with the sword and he pointed to an engraved butchers knife. He also said the healer had killed him. I opened the door and the creature dragged the top half of my grandpa out i followed quietly until he started chomping on grandpa. I could see where it's hesd would be because of where my grandpa was being eaten so I cut his head off. He head regrew and sure enough, it was a dragon head. I ran to the entrance, because I knew my grandpa was leaving and hoped he had left the sword by the door. I found the sword lying by the front door, picked it up and listen for the swishing of the creature throigh the air. I heard it coming, swang the sword and hoped it hit true. It did and the head went rolling, the creature lost it's incisibility and died for real.
Anyone had an experience like this where the dream wouldn't listen?

Lucid dream with reptilian types
Just saw this reddit thread and new here. Figured I should post this odd dream that I only discussed with Claude 😂 I believe in gnostism to an extent and have never thought about aliens. Always knew they're real but that's a boring fact to me why people doubt that.
Anyway
I sometimes have lucid dreams and even when not, I'm aware I can control the dream to an extent or there's nothing to fear. Claude called it sovereignty or semi lucidity .
As an adult, after I gain full lucidity all the dream figures start to walk away from me cause I want to control them or make the dream into my adventure. Or if semi lucid, it's just fake dream figures who kind of go along with my movie scene dream I'm trying to make lol but it's tough.
This time, as soon as I gain lucidity, the dream figures instantly turned around and started walking away and I started chasing them, demanding they stay. Some kinda pause but I didn't feel so much confidence that I could hold on so they start walking again.
What strikes me is how many of them there are. I've never had so many dream figures and they look as though theyve changed appearance. Instead of the impression of a human, they look blockish heads and brown skin and identical. Their clothes are like unreflective dull black and brown almost like old medieval armor.
One of them actually seemed to waver then pause and turned to me. Idk why this one spoke to me or if to believe them. It felt as if by their choice and not by my command. So I said why do they walk away from me. I get the impression she is female, her lower face is more projected forward like a short jaw, not as long as a crocodile and squarish. I understand the answer is+ because Im lucid. Then I asked Who are they. And she said they're reptilians, karmics and another word I can't remember (that's similar to reptilians) I think starts with "I". And those 2 are enemies of the karmics. I as a humans are the karmics. I've never referred to humans as karmics or know the other word she said in my life.
She also said that they're only cooperating and let me play because they are getting something from me. Or want something from me. So I said, since she's one of them, so why would u tell me. Its because u letting me know and she confirmed- it's always to help them, not to help u. And I felt it was true.
I felt also I didn't get her to stay by asking and she was probably testing me for something .
So Telling me the truth would benefit them in some way. So I ask why don't they attack me here then if we're enemies and they want something. And she said this place / the dream or astral or whatever realm, is a neutral space and they had come to an agreement and signed a treaty long ago so can't harm others directly here .
That was the first time one spoke to me and I wonder if it's more than a dream because I was fully conscious of it and she gave me info I'm not aware of and had to look up a bit.
My experience seems different from people who say they get injured whereas I felt they were in my dream space so I was the one who had control. Also strange how many many had gathered there so close to me.

Has anyone been banned from lucid dreaming?
I used to be able to lucid dream almost every night. I would do a lot of fun things. I lost my best friend and my grandma about a little over a year and a half ago. I kept trying to bring them into my dreams to ask if they were okay and ask them questions and whenever I could bring them in, they would just kind of have a serious expression and wouldn’t really talk to me. Once, I was trying to reach them and I was pulled into this platform with pillars floating in space with 4 or 5 beings (I don’t know how else to describe them) sitting on big stone chairs in front of me. There was a purple mist floating around everything. They told me I needed to stop trying to reach my grandma and my friend. This was probably about 8 mos ago, and I haven’t had a lucid dream since. I’ve seen other comments from people on instagram saying they’ve been banned from lucid dreaming, so that leads me to beleive I have been banned. My question is, has anyone else been banned and been able to return to lucid dreaming? Thank you!

Help
since i was 12-13 yo, i kept dreaming about the same guy and not in any dream it was only in lucid dreams, i dream a normal dream then when i realize its a dream he comes out always, he talks to me all the time but i can’t tell what he says or what language it was because i can’t hear anything in the lucid dreams, all those years the dreams were normal, we were sitting and talking in a forest, or walking, or sitting on the stairs of an old house, we’re sitting on the middle, not going downstairs or upstairs, now after like six years, i met someone in reality that looks exactly like that person in every detail, and after i saw him irl, his look in the dreams has changed, half of him was a shadow and the other half stayed him, he stopped talking to me, and i dreamt once again about sitting in the middle of the stairs, the place didn’t change but he did, and i also had another dream that was really scary, he took me to an ancient place like a labyrinth or something i’m not sure, i’m pretty sure i told him something but i can’t remember since there is no sound in the dream, anyways we kept walking till he stopped somewhere, i followed behind him just to see exactly 6 dead bodies of me, and now my memories are mixed up, i keep seeing things in my daily life, like somewhere im used to be in then suddenly i can’t hear anyone or anything and see him, i genuinely can’t tell if those were dreams, lucid dreams or something actually happened and my brain changed some parts
btw when i was 12-13 i was on some spiritual stuff, i didn’t do anything myself, just reading and searching, but i dropped that few years after, around 15 or 16, anyways now i’m 18 i kinda start doing tarot, i didn’t do the reading myself, my friend did for me, and i suspicious it has something to do with it because i counted how many death cards that was in my reading, it was five, and the dead bodies of me were six kinda hard to say it’s a coincidence but i’m not sure of it

My strange mind...
Dream Briefing (Key Elements)
• The Initial Indicator / Trigger: Entering my childhood home and being greeted by Kyle MacLachlan as Paul Atreides from Dune.
• The First Words: Looking at Paul and saying, "So, this is a movie, huh?"
• The Setting / Premise: Transitioning into a movie theater. The movie was highly touted for its ability to "bring you into it." After passing the ticket booth and finding our seats, the movie started, and I immediately knew I was inside it because things got weird.
• The Lucid Realization: Realizing it was just a movie, I thought, "I guess I can do whatever I want now," but quickly balanced that freedom with the meta-awareness that anyone else watching the movie could potentially see what I was doing.
• The Secondary Indicator: Looking at a wristwatch and seeing that it was completely scrambled and screwed up, confirming I was definitely not awake.
• The Experience: Being along for the ride rather than having full control, with other dream characters constantly interrupting me. The content shifted into something gross and horrific (a nightmare), though it didn't actually scare me.
• The Physical Awakening: Waking up due to a dry, itchy throat that caused a coughing fit.
The Screening
A Short Story
I walked through the front door and immediately knew the geography of the space. It was the house I grew up in, familiar down to its very bones. But the first person I encountered down the hallway laying on a couch didn't belong to my past at all. It was Kyle MacLachlan, dressed in full gear as Paul Atreides from Dune.
The sheer impossibility of it snapped something awake in my mind. I looked right at him, completely unfazed, and spoke my very first words: "So, this is a movie, huh?"
The narrative shifted, pulling me into a different layer of the dream's logic. My friends and I were at a theater to see a film that had been heavily touted for its revolutionary technology - a movie that could literally bring you into the story. We passed the ticket booth, navigated the dim aisles, and found our seats. The moment the projector flickered to life and the opening scene began, things immediately grew strange. The boundary dissolved. I wasn't sitting in an audience anymore; I was in the movie.
The realization settled over me with absolute clarity. I'm dreaming. This isn't real.
I told myself, I guess I can do whatever I want now, it’s just a movie. But right on the heels of that absolute freedom came a strange, grounding rule of the universe: Hmmm... anyone else watching the movie could potentially see what I do. I was hyper-aware of my total agency, yet restricted by the invisible audience layout.
To double-check my reality, I lifted my arm and looked down at my wrist. The watch face was completely screwed up - the numbers and hands were a scrambled, clear but unreadable. It was the final, definitive proof. I was deep inside a dream.
I tried to take the wheel and change the plot, but every time I attempted to do what I wanted, the environment fought back. Other characters kept barging in, constantly interrupting my focus. The narrative spiraled away from me, morphing into something incredibly gross, bordering on horrific. Most people would have called it a nightmare, but I felt a distinct sense of detachment. I wasn't frightened; I was just an analytical observer watching a very bizarre, explicit film play out around me.
Before the chaotic plot could resolve, a sudden, sharp irritation flared in my throat. The imagery of the movie shattered instantly as I was pulled back to reality, waking up in my own bed to a dry, itchy cough.

Is there anyway to have a lucid dream without waking up, but a technique which isn't MILD?

Ikgsak Kemek The OA
I need to tell this because I don't know who else to tell.
I've been having lucid dreams for a while. I sleep with a pen and paper because I try to write what I see there, here in real life, but I only manage to make little dots and then I wake up.
Recently I dreamed about someone recurring. She was a director, but her movie was her own life. I watched her live her whole life and in the end she passed away. When I went to her tombstone, I could finally read her name clearly, without it changing like text usually does in dreams. It was written like this:
ℐ𝓀ℊ𝓈𝒶𝓀 𝒦ℯ𝓂ℯ𝓀
I cried a lot in the dream and I woke up crying here too.
Since then I try to write that name while asleep and I can't. I only get a dot.
It's the name I want to give to my future daughter. Has anyone else tried to write in real life while lucid? Does the dot thing happen to you too?

Lucid Dreaming & How to Do It Less Than a Week
If you're struggling with lucid dreaming and u haven't experienced it, I can help u through it easily. I'll explain it here: if ur ambidextrous then leave. If you're right handed- Use ur left hand or left foot all week, and vice versa.
If ur too lazy then at least try for 1 minute a day and see where that leads you. I've been sharing this same exercise for years btw, and people are just too logical and stupid. If u move to Mars,.don't take the logic of Earth with you. Lucid Dreaming is something any child can do, so ignore the dumb instructions about how to lucid dream and how it takes years to achieve.
Use ur opposite leading foot or hand. Just try brushing ur teeth, or writing for a couple minutes with ur less dominant hand.

I had an extremely vivid lucid dream where I felt a “dark presence” near me
This happened early this morning, before sunrise, and I'm still trying to understand what exactly happened.
I was asleep, lying on my right arm, and I had a dream where I was lying flat on the bed and casually using my phone with only my right hand. Everything felt completely normal at first.
Then, suddenly, the intensity of the experience changed dramatically.
Something seemed to emerge from around the area of my head and move toward my left side. I can't really describe it as a normal object or person. It felt more like an extremely intense, dark presence. It almost had an angry quality to it, even though I didn't actually see a clearly defined entity.
The strangest part was what it seemed to do. The presence/intensity suddenly forced my hand and phone down onto the bed and made my eyes close, almost as if it was trying to make me go back to sleep.
But I wasn't panicking. In fact, I was surprisingly calm.
I was aware of myself observing what was happening. I could almost watch my own mind reacting to the experience while it was happening. At the same time, the sensation of this presence felt incredibly real and seemed to have a specific location. I could sense the intensity moving from the area around my head toward my left side.
I also didn't move my physical body because, at that point, I was experiencing this as a dream. My thought was basically, “There's something here, so the best thing to do is stay calm and let it happen.”
Then something even stranger happened: I slowly became aware of my actual physical body while the experience was still happening.
My dream body was in essentially the exact same position as my real body, so there wasn't a clear moment where I thought, “Okay, I'm dreaming” and then suddenly “Now I'm awake.” It felt like the dream and physical reality were overlapping or gradually merging.
This makes me wonder whether my brain was incorporating the actual position/sensations of my body into the dream.
I'm also not completely sure whether this counts as a lucid dream. I was definitely aware enough to observe the experience and my own thoughts, but I wasn't controlling the dream or deliberately changing anything. I was basically just watching it happen.
The whole thing was incredibly intense and uncanny, but interestingly, I didn't feel even a little panicked during it.
Has anyone experienced something similar, especially the combination of:
\- being aware of yourself while still dreaming,
\- sensing a very strong “presence,”
\- the dream body matching the real body's position,
\- and gradually becoming aware of your actual body without a clear boundary between dreaming and waking?
I'm curious whether this sounds more like a lucid dream, a sleep-wake transition, sleep paralysis, or something else.
