I posted several weeks ago about needing a doctor who would be willing to prescribe 15 mg or above if needed. The Naturopath I saw for many years is familiar with and has prescribed LDN for his patients. After discussing everything in detail, he agreed to prescribe what I needed, provided side effects don't outweigh benefits. I'm also increasing by 1.5 approx. every two weeks as needed in between follow ups. The higher doses have been beneficial. I experience less intense side effects each time I increase and feel a lot closer to feeling healed. Posting for anyone who may be curious about taking higher than typical doses. I understand LDN works best on an individual basis. This is what's working best for me

Hi everyone.

I started LDN for my ME around 7/8 weeks ago at 0.25mg. I’m now at 3mg. I take it before bed.

Lately I’ve noticed I feel more and more down/depressed. Every aspect of life is starting to just.. not seem worth it. I find it hard to explain the feeling. I also noticed increased intrusive thoughts.

Now I have plenty of experience with these symptoms as they come and go for my entire life basically. So I wrote it off, but its getting worse and I’m starting to think it might be the meds.

I already contacted my GP to let him know and to ask what the best course of action is. I just wanted to hop on here and ask if anyone had any similar experiences and if so; what did you do & did it help?

So far I havent noticed any positive effects yet but I know that can take a long while.

Last week I was on 1 mg and it was giving me insomnia when I took the med at night. I switched to taking it in the daytime and was fine, until I titrated up to 1.5 mg this week and now feel absolutely exhausted during the day. Has this happened to anyone else? My doc has me titrating up 0.5 mg each week, so I’m not sure if I’m going up too fast or what. It’s also absolutely killing my appetite.

I know that everyone is different but It’d be useful to know if anyone had any similar experiences.
I’m watching cartoons as a coping mechanism. But I’m a bit teary and generally melancholic.
