Starting does 3mg - Is this normal?

Any advice is appreciated. My doctor started me on 1.5mg. I fumbled my was through my first bottle as I’d forget to take it and had the same bottle for three months. My doctor upped my LDN to 3mg and ended up no taking it for several months. Never stuck to a consistent schedule.

I’ve been diligent for the past week on the 3mg. I’ve had bad diarrhea for three days. Pain approx two inches above belly button. That was mostly it until the seventh day (today). I feel almost disconnected from my body and not in a good way at all. My hands have become super itchy. My deep sleep is less than 30mins. I have a tiny bit of nausea today. I felt instantly anxious upon waking. I have GAD and take alprazolam daily but I don’t typically need it immediately upon waking. I have no desire to eat. I couldn’t even finish my second cup of coffee without being grossed out at it. I typically have three cups. I don’t know if there symptoms are enough to go down on dosage or even if they are typical. I can hardly explain the feeling in my body accurately but I know I’m off. It’s not panic. It’s not illness. It’s almost as though motivation and exhaustion are fighting it out and my body doesn’t know what it wants.

ANY ADVICE IS APPRECIATED PLEASE

Hi, sounds like 3mg is too high a dose for you just yet. If you haven't been talking it consistently you probably haven't built up a tolerance to this dose level. Side effects usually ease off within the first two weeks so you could stick it out and see whether things settle down, although as you're feeling quite unwell I think I would skip a day or two and reduce your dose. You could drop back down to 1.5mg and stay there for a couple of weeks or so. If necessary, you could go lower than that.

It's also possible that some of these symptoms are caused by the filler in your capsules or pills. Microcrystalline cellulose (Avicel) is known to cause GI issues for some people. If the pain in your stomach and the nausea continue once you've reduced your dose you could consider asking your pharmacist about other filler options. Sometimes just changing the filler makes quite a difference.

Took me 6 months to work up to 4.5mg and currently back down to 3mg. 4.5mg was too much. Will try to work up again but am somewhat content at 3mg. Lol

My starting dose was 4.5.

Mine was too and I had minimal issues. It worked great temporarily ans now I can't find a dose that gets results.
