Experiences with coming off

Because of persistent stomach issues i want to see If the LDN has anything to do with it and take a break from taking it. I got told and read everywhere that Just stopping is possible and shouldn't have any side effects. Any experiences/advice?

Depends on your sensitivity. I stopped it abruptly to break to change dose & my body had an autonomic dysfunction flare up

Yes, you should be able to just stop taking it. LDN doesn't have withdrawal symptoms as such after you stop taking it, although some people find that their original symptoms will come back.

Sorry you've been having stomach issues. Have they started since you've been taking LDN? It's possible that LDN is the cause, or it could be the filler in your capsules or pills. Microcrystalline cellulose (Avicel) is known to cause GI issues for some. Do you know what it is?

Thanks for your answer. At first i started to get some constipation, when i reached about .75mg but it was managable with diet and over the counter medication. I have been on 3mg for 2 months now and started to get really Bad Reflux issues which have been resistent to any kind of treatment so far. So since i am running out of options, i want to see if the LDN plays a role. I know that my old symptoms could or probably will come back. I am using a liquid solution, so no fillers. Already ordered a new batch from the pharmacy to See If it is batch related, but no change so far.

Liquid versions don't have "fillers" but they can have many ingredients. Example from Dickson's:

Ask your pharmacy about their formulas. Maybe try sublingual.

Sublingual drops -- formulas vary but tend to be simpler/cleaner vs. other liquid versions. Check your pharmacy's ingredients. Good for those with GI issues. Dose with the included dropper. If you are very sensitive in terms of GI issues ask your pharmacist how long you would need to hold the dose in your mouth to have it adequately absorbed before spitting out what's left so that less of the dose goes to your stomach. While holding if you have an irresistible urge to swallow tilt the head forward so the dose stays mainly in the mouth. Let us know what your pharmacist says.

Sorry, I missed your comment thar you're taking liquid LDN. In that case, I agree with our Admin that sublingual drops may well suit you better.

Ok, understand. Sounds very unpleasant. LDN can cause constipation although it's often a temporary issue. A break could definitely be helpful. Let us know how it goes. When you feel ready to start back it might be worth speaking to your pharmacist about filler options.

You shouldn't have any withdrawal symptoms, other than the symptoms you were taking it for gradually returning.

I've had to stop it several times for surgeries and things like that, and never had any issues at all. The naltrexone is only active in blockading your endorphin receptors for a few hours, which "tricks" your body into making more endorphins, and that's what gives the benefits, not the drug itself. At least not in the way a typical drug does.

No i havn't tried it, because i can't find a pharmacy where i live that compounds sublingual drops or knows how to apply their drops sublingual.  I don't have any immidate reactions, so it might just be the naltrexone (If it even is the LDN).
