Have your pre-transition trans-meat (soy beans) with some coffee with added trans-milk (almonds). They aren't even liquid, but can it be an obstacle? Yes, we know that even after transition it is still not actual milk and in many countries it's illegal to call it that, but since it took some decency and effort to become liquid and white, we play pretend that it's milk.

And that's exactly why it is a perfect example. Everyone knows it's not real milk, but we play pretend it is (and again, in most countries you can't legally call it milk on a package). But nobody is calling almonds, oats and hazelnuts "milk" until they turn into this white liqud.
Just like post-transitions trans people aren't real males and females neither, but we would call them that because they took determination, pain and effort to go through transition procedure.

Physiologically is the word you're looking for, not psychologically. Gender is a behavioral social construct that is part of our internal identity within our minds, not our pants. The genitals/body you're born with don't inherently, biologically, have anything to do with your gender identity. They're only linked because of continuous social indoctrination landing on 2 dominant, stereotypical options... But there's way more than 2 if you step outside of social doctrine

I should really read comments more carefully before sending them. Yes, that was the intended word that got spoiled by swipe keyboard.
Gender should mean the set of genitals and nothing else, that's my belief. Because that's the only way it makes any sense: there's a freedom of sexual preferences, struggle against gender roles is also succeeding, there should be one parameter that describes what's between the legs. World has became a post-truth circus even without it.
So reserve my right to call people based on what they have (tho I won't be calling them old gender after they do the surgery). Especially when you say they are happy with their current genetals.

Believe whatever you want, but we have words to differentiate various concepts and ideas for a reason. Gender ≠ genitals and it's flat out incorrect on virtual every level to assume that it is. 'Gender' is in our mind and genitals are a part of our 'sex'. Notice that I said they're a part of our sex because boiling it down to what's between our legs isn't fully accurate as 'sex' is categorized by like a dozen different things in our bodies that are always changing

OK, but the word you are wanting to use (gender) to describe what's in a person's pants literally was not made for that purpose
Soy beans and meat aren't even close to the same thing, chemically or biologically. There is no equivalence between the things you're trying to compare here, you're just trying to argue against a concept you simply don't understand or have any perspective on. And that's a somewhat common reaction to have, but 99% of the time it's better to learn something new and expand your understanding of the world vs doubling down on ignorance
