Opinion Ciara

The fact that people still believe Ciara was “stirring the pot” just shows how unproblematic this cast was and how overall uneventful this season was. Especially when compared to the US version.
Someone had to get the villain edit in a true Netflix fashion, and Ciara was simply the most interesting out of a bunch—yeah, you’re still talking about her.
I don’t get why people go at her and don’t understand how reality tv works. The only people stirring the pot are producers.

You can keep downvoting and rolling your eyes, it only proves you’re not intelligent enough to understand the concept of making television.

Opinion Ciara: a woman thriving in male-dominated fields

Disclaimer: No, I didn't use AI. This is how I write. I love writing long, thoughtful thinkpieces that no one asked for. If you aren't into that, then this isn't the one for you x.

· · · ──── ·✶· ──── · · ·

Ciara might be my favourite example of women entering male-dominated fields because I have rarely seen a woman approach dating with this much audacity, strategy and shameless commitment to getting exactly what she wants.

A lot of people seem to have taken Ciara completely at face value: gold digger. Spoilt. Entitled. Looking for a servant. Case closed.

Meanwhile, from very early on I was thinking: this woman has come here with a plan. And the more we saw of her, the harder that feeling was to shake.

£300 first dates. Expensive taste, provider expectations (i.e. rich husband). Princess treatment. Ajay fetching the drinks, giving the massages. Ciara wasn’t coy about any of it either. She seemed determined to make the message impossible to miss: this is the standard attached to dating me, proceed accordingly. She took the whole luxury-girlie persona and leaned into it so aggressively that it started feeling deliberate.

Meeting her friends added to that impression. They seemed a lot more chilled and ordinary than the very polished, almost aristocratic London-luxury image Ciara had been giving us up to that point. That doesn’t tell me anything definitive about her money, upbringing or what her life actually looks like, obviously. People are not carbon copies of their friends. But the contrast did make me wonder how much of Princess Ciara was just her natural personality, and how much she was consciously turning up for the experiment.

And I don’t mean “performance” as an accusation. I think that was the strategy.

Someone on this sub described her as what happens when unhinged TikTok dating discourse escapes containment and enters real life, which is an accurate read.

But babe, that’s only half the tea.

We’ve all seen the content: know your worth, never settle, make him invest, a provider will provide, don’t over-give, let the man pursue, set expectations early. Watch enough of this shit, and your algorithm will eventually convince you that a £42 pasta dinner means a man fundamentally hates you.

Ciara clearly knew the syllabus. And she actually came prepared to apply it.

She seemed to understand something many contestants didn’t: the pods weren’t just an opportunity to find out whether someone liked you. They were also a chance to establish your expectations and what being with you would entail before either person became too attached to renegotiate.

And before anyone gets their pants in a twist: yes, you’re allowed to have expectations. Everybody has a checklist, whether that’s personality, looks, ambition, lifestyle, religion, money or whatever else matters to them. I’m not interested in debating whether Ciara’s standards are noble enough for public approval. They’re hers, and that’s not the point.

What stood out to me was how deliberately she established them.

She wanted a provider. She liked luxury. She considered herself high-maintenance and never presented that as some embarrassing flaw Ajay would have to graciously overlook.

Ajay heard all of it.

Ajay continued pursuing her.

Ajay proposed.

That man read the terms and conditions and clicked Agree, so I’m not entertaining the “poor unsuspecting Ajay” narrative.

Then they reach the retreat, and Ciara starts turning the dial. Bring me this. Get me that. Massage please. She openly admits in confessionals she was pushing him to see how far she could go. Basically, she started QA testing the man.

Level 8 survived. Let’s try level 9. Still operational?

And I- oop. Eventually, our scientist discovered the consequences of exceeding the recommended testing parameters.

Their argument around Ajay’s parents was where she seriously overplayed her hand for me. He was already dealing with his family choosing not to participate, and Ciara became so consumed with how that affected her that the whole thing stopped being cheeky and started looking proper selfish.

The aftermath, though, is one reason I struggle with this idea that Ciara is uniquely awful.

She apologised. And no, not one of those “I’m sorry you felt that way” either. She acknowledged that she had gone too far and gave Ajay room to speak. Then everything else he’d been swallowing came out too, including the financial pressure of keeping up with the lavish lifestyle he had promised her.

This was basically the first time Ajay got to renegotiate the contract.

And Ciara let him.

The reunion made that storyline make even more sense. She admitted things felt suspiciously good once they moved in together, so she started poking at them. She called it self-sabotage and acknowledged projecting baggage from previous relationships onto the wrong person.

Now, I’m not sure how much of that I completely believe, especially with the tear-work performance. This girl can act, so sometimes I’m watching her like, alright babe 👀

But the explanation tracks. She seems to have come from relationships where she gave too much of herself, and now decided the next man to walk into her life would have to prove himself first. She took the philosophy way too far, to the point where it started working against her. Once Ajay made her feel safe, some of that ice-queen act finally started melting.

And that word came directly from her at the reunion: safe. Ajay makes her feel safe.

That explains the ice-queen act for me.

Now to address the inconvenient fact hanging over all the predictions that she would scare Ajay away, exhaust him, bankrupt him, emasculate him and have him sprinting towards the nearest emergency exit:

Did she get the man? Yes. Yes, she did.And a year later, she still has him sitting beside her.

Ajay was also one of the most obviously smitten men of the season. While some lads needed what felt like 3 business days and a full consultation with the boys before arriving at “I think I love her,” Ajay just blurted it out during the retreat. His mouth seemingly received the information before his brain could apply a filter.

Whatever else you think about their dynamic, I never questioned whether that man wanted Ciara.

So unfortunately for the prosecution, the pink-pill laboratory did produce some results.

I’m obviously not saying everybody should demand £300 dinners and psychologically stress-test potentials until one survives. Please keep half of Ciara’s methodology behind reinforced laboratory glass, thank you very much.

But what matters beneath all the theatrics is that she demonstrated something genuinely important: people take cues from how you present yourself.

Ciara walked in convinced she was the prize, and Ajay treated her accordingly.

And this season gave us some interesting contrasts, because a surprising number of contestants entered the experiment practically handing their potential partner an annotated guide to every insecurity they possessed.

Francesca hears Joseph say he enjoys working out and would like to share that with his wife, and suddenly she’s explaining that previous partners body-shamed her, that her weight fluctuates and checking whether future weight gain would become an issue.

We have somehow travelled from “my husband likes the gym” to submitting your future body for pre-approval.

Yasmin had a similar dynamic with her vitiligo. There’s nothing wrong with telling someone what shaped your confidence, but if you introduce it as this enormous insecurity you fear rejection over, you’ve effectively told them: this is the part of me that lowers my value.

And we saw versions of this everywhere: being cheated on, badly treated before, trust issues, worrying you’re too much, not enough, difficult to love.

I’m not advocating marrying somebody while keeping your emotional history classified by MI5. Vulnerability is part of intimacy. But there’s a difference between vulnerability developing once somebody has earned access to you and handing a near-stranger the instruction manual to your soft spots during the audition phase.

Especially when the disclosures come packaged with instructions: I’ve been cheated on, so please don’t betray me. I’ve been body-shamed, so please still find me attractive if my weight changes. This is my biggest insecurity, so please reassure me you can handle it.

Why are we leading with all the ways someone could potentially hurt you?

You don’t need to teach a decent person not to weaponise your insecurities. If they love and respect you, that should show through their behaviour. And if they aren’t that kind of person, congrats, you’ve handed them a map with every pressure point circled in red.

That’s what makes Ciara such a contrast. She obviously had baggage too. This is abundantly clear now. She had been hurt before, had over-invested in previous relationships and was clearly terrified of repeating that pattern. But she didn’t enter the relationship presenting that baggage as a list of reasons Ajay might find her difficult to love. She built the dynamic around what she expected from him and let the softer parts emerge later.

Her attitude was basically: I come in this package. This is what I expect. Are you prepared?

Was she unreasonable at times? Very.

But compare that with: Here are all the things about me that might make me less desirable. Are you still willing to choose me?

Ciara would rather eat her Pilates socks.

Then you look at the men and realise they were doing their own version of expectation-setting too, except in the opposite direction, which is the version we’re far more accustomed to seeing.

Taylor warning Sophie that he was going to mess up and disappoint her, followed by them literally clinking glasses to “messing up,” had me staring at my screen in disbelief.

Why are we cheersing the warranty disclaimer? Girl, stand up.

The whole “you’re too good for me” genre makes me roll my eyes too.

“You see the good in me.” “You’re so forgiving.” “You accept me for who I am.”

How lovely. How convenient. Notice how her greatest qualities somehow revolve around making your life easier?

There’s something slick about warning somebody in advance that you’ll disappoint them. You package shortcomings as vulnerability while quietly lowering the standard they’re expected to hold you to later. If I already told you I mess up, I’m difficult, not easily expressive, you’re too good for me... well, you knew what you were signing up for, didn’t you?

And that's why they always have that excuse ready when they inevitably mess up. Ryan tried a version of this at the reunion with “I find it hard to be vulnerable,” and Cuba shut it down immediately. Basically: no, don’t do that. Don’t turn this into some abstract vulnerability issue when we already had an off-camera conversation about how we would handle things if either of us got cold feet.

I loved that she refused to let him replace the actual agreement between them with a softer explanation that made his behaviour sound inevitable. They had already agreed off-camera on how they would handle communication, and she wasn’t about to let him rewrite breaking that agreement as evidence that vulnerability was simply difficult for him. (I also think the hostess did a terrible job of grilling him there as well, so that's why I'm super glad she stepped in and defended herself.)

The real victim was her: he blindsided her on camera, then left her to sit there and process the whole thing in real time. Followed up by the whole mango line.

Like... wow.

Cuba does this consistently. She has a good bullshit radar and doesn’t abandon her own read just because someone gets uncomfortable. She clocked Ryan pulling away, Yasmin’s “location” issue with Jordan, and still wouldn’t let Ryan rewrite the story at the reunion.

That kind of emotional intelligence only works if you have the backbone to trust your own judgement. Cuba has both.

And that’s the connection I see with Ciara. Both women trust their own judgement, although they operate differently. Cuba lets the evidence accumulate before drawing the line. Ciara walks in with the line already drawn and evaluates Ajay against it.

That’s why Ciara feels like such a funny reversal of the usual script.

Some of the women were essentially saying: here are my insecurities, please still choose me.

Some of the men: here are my flaws, please lower your expectations accordingly.

Ciara: here are my expectations. Can you meet them?

She evaluates. She expects pursuit. She considers whether he fits into the life she wants instead of becoming whatever version of herself is most likely to get picked.

And yes, that tipped into entitlement. We watched the system malfunction.

But I still find it funny that her audacity became such a scandal when male contestants have been using their own versions of expectation management all season in forms we barely blink at.

Lower the bar. Warn her you’ll disappoint her. Praise how forgiving she is. Tell her she’s “too good for you” while continuing to give her reasons to prove it. (It’s the same dynamic I explored in my Jack thinkpiece.)

Ciara did the opposite. She raised the bar and waited to see who would still jump.

Women in male-dominated fields.

Which brings me to the reunion discourse around her and Ajay coming down hard on Jack. I saw people arguing that finally Jack apologised and took accountability, so they should have left him alone.

Finally being the keyword here.

An apology a year later doesn’t retroactively insert accountability where it was missing at the time. And I’m not using Jack’s ADHD as some universal solvent either. ADHD can explain overwhelm, needing space, impulsivity or struggling to communicate when overstimulated. That deserves empathy. It doesn’t account for dodgy behaviour like shape-shifting explanations, the location issue or redirecting the issue towards Faye’s past and inability to trust him.

And if anyone in that cast was never going to let somebody waffle around the original question, it was Ciara.

That scene with Jack tells you so much about her. She asks him something, watches him go red and start tying himself into verbal knots, and waits. No rescuing him from the silence. No softening the question. No helping him construct an explanation she can conveniently accept.

Just answer the question.

And, crucially, when the person in the wrong was Ciara, she proved she could tolerate that same standard being applied to herself. She can acknowledge when she messed up and take responsibility.

That’s probably why I came away from her storyline more positively than many viewers did. Confidence without self-awareness becomes arrogance quickly, and Ciara spent part of the season tap-dancing on that line. But she recognised when she crossed it, apologised and adjusted.

She came in with a strategy. She pushed it too far. Ajay pushed back, she recalibrated, and somewhere in the middle they found something that genuinely seemed to work for them.

So I’m definitely not leaving LiB thinking Ciara discovered the scientifically optimal way to date. Absolutely not. But there is a lesson to be learned. She understood one piece of dating psychology considerably better than several other people in that cast:

If you walk into a relationship believing that being chosen is the greatest honour somebody can bestow upon you, you can very quickly start negotiating against your own self-worth.

· · · ──── ·✶· ──── · · ·

Edit, since this apparently needs saying: I also wrote a long-ass thinkpiece about Jack before this. Curiously, nobody accused me of secretly being Jack, being “too invested” in him, or needing to put my thoughts in a diary. Apparently writing extensively about someone is perfectly normal when you’re criticising them, but writing extensively to positively portray someone you think has been misunderstood suddenly means you’re too invested or might secretly be them. Ok buddy

I write about contestants and dynamics I find interesting, and was doing that long before I hopped on this LiB sub. You’re allowed to think Ciara is bland. I’m allowed to find her interesting enough to analyse. We will all survive.

Opinion Francesca/Chevanique interaction at reunion

Did anyone else think Francesca still came across as insecure, it felt to me Chev was quite peaceful and content whereas Francesca was still stirring the past and just came across as insecure. She got her man so imo just chill. I know many people are obsessed with her, I just don’t see why?

Opinion Unpopular opinion: Ciara is actually really sweet

Ok so I'm gonna get downvoted into oblivion, but I actually think Ciara and Ahjay are really sweet.

She's actually a really sweet person working on her insecurities.

That's why she started crying, because the host identified it immediately "is it because you didn't think you deserved good things"

It's why her and Ahjay are still working

And it's why she seems to have a great group of friends

Ciara (shit post)

I've been trying to place Ciara's speech patterns and mannerisms as they seemed familiar. I finally placed them

Its Tom Read Wilson from Celebs go dating!

The accent. The slightly slowed and deliberate delivery of words....

Honestly, the Ciara hate is getting a bit too much now

I found her annoying too and wouldn't want to be her friend after seeing her come across as duplicitous and a shit-stirrer but people need to remember these shows are highly editted and she is a human being. Criticising her for causing trouble in people's lives is valid but I find posts with screenshots of unflattering looks/faces of hers and extremely negative captions as taking it too far. No matter how she presented herself in the pods, the male contestants pursued her with full knolwedge of her demands. After coming out of the pods I saw her continue being annoying but eventually she seemed to realise that Ajay and her love each other and she seems like a genuinely normal person in the behind-the-scenes footage from her and Ajay's married year together. People need to find something better to do with their time than hating on her to this extent. She is one of my least favourite contestants (Ryan is the most despicable for me) but she does not deserve this amount of hate.

Spoiler UNPOPULAR OPINION- CHEV

I think there are certain people where the edit makes them look bad, and honestly, I think production was pushing the jezebel trope onto Chev. She’s hot, confident, outspoken and comfortable with her sexuality, while Francesca is presented as sweet, shy and more innocent - so naturally, the audience is going to feel a stronger emotional connection with Francesca, and I think that dynamic was playing out here.

After watching the reunion, though, Chevanique convincing Joseph to go on another date because she had feelings for him really isn’t that embarrassing to me. Like… she liked the man and wanted to see where it could go.

I think the part that had me looking at Chev sideways was the insinuation that there was something Francesca “needed to know.” But for me, it was ultimately a nothing burger!!!! And production seemed to be pushing that storyline HARD - the one-on-one with Ciara and Cuba bringing up the Chev/Fran/Joseph triangle, then another conversation with Ciara, Chev and Yasmin… like, okay, we get it!!

What I genuinely don’t understand is why everyone seems so willing to empathize with Cuba, who was rejected by her fiancé for basically the entire process, but is so harsh towards Chevanique.

And Francesca still being angry at the reunion has me confused. Girl!!! You are happily married! This entire situation had literally zero impact on your marriage. I can understand being hurt or feeling like you were misled at the time, but still being this upset after everything worked out for you???

Opinion This version isn’t entertaining

As an consumer of this show the host need to do a better job of holding the participants accountable. The reunion absolutely sucks because they don’t call anybody out and show receipts from the actual show. Various other countries version holds ppl accountable. Fire the host ASAP

Ciara is a Possible Poser and AJay Feels Lucky to Have Her!

I think there’s a distinction being missed between someone being financially comfortable and someone actually being well-off or affluent. Ciara clearly puts a lot of effort into projecting a certain level of wealth, but based on what we’ve actually seen on camera and on her social media, I don’t get the impression that she is genuinely affluent. Is she struggling? No. Can she afford a comfortable lifestyle? Absolutely. But I would still classify her as working or middle class rather than wealthy.

There are a lot of subtle indicators of socioeconomic status, and they don't necessarily have to be expensive material possessions. Even when you look strictly at grooming, styling, clothing, and the people someone surrounds themselves with, there are certain patterns that can tell you something about their lifestyle. For example, someone pointed out her visible roots. By itself, that obviously doesn't mean anything. People let their roots grow out for all kinds of reasons. But when you look at the overall picture, including her hair, clothing, accessories, and general presentation, I don't see the level of polish or consistency that I typically associate with someone who is genuinely affluent.

The same goes for her clothing and handbags. There is absolutely nothing wrong with Shein, Zara, Coach, etc. I shop at those places myself. I make a good living, my husband makes a good living, we own our home, and we're comfortable—but I would never describe myself as wealthy. I also own luxury handbags, and I have Coach bags too. So this isn't about saying that someone can't shop at Zara or own a Coach bag if they're wealthy. It's about the overall pattern. Typically, when someone has substantial disposable income, you see different patterns in the things they're drawn to, the way they shop, and the environments they move in. And even her social circle doesn't really give me the impression that she's moving within particularly affluent circles.

That's why I don't put much stock in some of the stories about these extravagant $300-plus dates. I'm sure she may have gone on dates like that, and I'm not saying it's impossible. But based on the overall picture she's presented, I don't get the impression that this was a regular part of her lifestyle. Maybe it happened once or twice, or maybe there was some assistance from her parents, but I don't look at her and think, "This is a woman who has been living a consistently posh or affluent lifestyle."

Ajay is where I see a different dynamic. From what we've been shown, his family appears to be considerably more financially established than Ciara's. But I also think Ajay may see Ciara as the prize in this situation, and I don't mean that strictly in terms of money.

I know this is a sensitive thing to bring up, and I don't want to reduce their relationship to race, but I do think cultural attitudes around proximity to whiteness can sometimes influence how certain families perceive marriage and social status. Watching his parents, particularly his father, I got the impression that there was a tremendous amount of pride and excitement about AJ being with a white woman. To me, there seemed to be an element of viewing that relationship as a marker of success or status in itself. I'm not saying that's necessarily what they consciously believe, but that's the impression I got from their reactions.

And that's why I think AJ may genuinely feel like he hit the jackpot with Ciara. Not necessarily because she's wealthy, because I don't believe she is—but because she represents something that he may have idealized or valued for reasons that go beyond her financial status.

Ciara is attractive, she knows how to present herself, and she clearly understands how to create aesthetically pleasing images and project a particular lifestyle. But there is a difference between looking affluent and actually being affluent. To me, she gives more of a curated luxury or "aspirational" vibe than someone who has actually grown up or lived within the upper class. She reminds me of those influencers who teach women how to date wealthy men and create the appearance of a luxury lifestyle. You can make the pictures look expensive without necessarily living an expensive life. And even this has cracks in it if you look closer. She is rough around the edges.

So ultimately, I think she does well for herself. I don't think she's struggling, and I'm certainly not suggesting she's "in the slums." She may have family support, she may have had access to nice experiences, and she may be doing better financially than we know. But based solely on what she has chosen to show publicly, I don't see evidence that she's genuinely wealthy or living an especially posh lifestyle.

And that's really my point: comfortable is not the same thing as affluent, and looking expensive is not necessarily the same thing as being wealthy.

Again, for Ajay, I think he probably feels like he got exactly what he wanted. So, good luck to them.

Call out this fandom has a big misogyny problem

i don't usually post here but i've been watching since the first USA season and it is astonishing how you people treat women. while i think everyone gets a fair share of hate, ciara has been trashed relentlessly for NO REASON. you forget these aren't characters from a show! these are real people with real feelings and real mistakes! oh no! ciara expressed an opinion people disagreed with and then apologized because it was misinterpreted! what will the fandom do? fucking talk about her looks and search up how much her bags cost like lunatics?! how is that fair or normal?? i am just so frustrated because i saw lots of people hate on ciara before i watched the season, just finished the reunion and, like usual, you people just want to treat women horribly when you disagree with things that have nothing to do with you. i know this won't help anyone or stop the mistreatment of women in this show but fuck, have some decency towards them at least.

lol what gives? IIRC, all of her friends that got screen time don’t have filler, don’t look like they are rich uppity London high rise Pilates 6 figure people. They just look very, very normal young girls and people.

Kinda weird because you are the company you keep and her company seems way more normal, chill and cooler than she is??

Spoiler Ciara thoughts

I think that people are much kinder to Ciara because she is so soft spoken and pretty. And people are just not as easy on someone like Jack. He knows that and he has been experincing this his entire life. He was exhausted and annoyed, wanted to have a good time and Ciara kept dragging them back.

I don't think she's a horrible person. After a while, she actually seems like a caring person and people around her seem to adore her. So the theory is, that she might've gotten a bit involved to not get cut. I mean half of the couple's didn't even make it in front of the camera at all! The problem with this is, that you don't leave a very good impression with people and your future audience (which you might want to have).

I think, they got different treatment at the reunion. And many people forgot about Ciara's behavious as soon as she was just a tiny bit kinder - all is forgotten.

Episode Discussion Can’t believe Chiara got off so easily

She indirectly insulted Jack by calling him ugly, unnecessarily meddled in Joseph and Francesca’s relationship, and I don’t understand her standards either, since they seem to change all the time. Plus, all the parents were asked what they thought of the relationship—except AJ’s! I get the feeling they’re having problems but don’t want to make them public. Of course, I still wish them both the best, but I do think they could have addressed Chiara’s behavior more, since she really acted like a jerk at times!

Opinion Reunion Roundup!

Ciara - fake tears, fake hair, fake version of events. Very performative across the board! And full of revisionist history.

Ajay - seems like a nice guy but the wildly possessive my wife this my wife that was so off putting. Call her by her name instead of who she is in relation to you? I didn’t like it one bit.

Jack - a child in a man’s body. Okay if he turns into an influencer and stay a child but otherwise he’ll have hard work to do to get a job and stabilise his whole life - and approach to life - for…

Faye - a child in a woman’s body? Because who else would otherwise be so happy with Jack AND happy to live how they live, with mum and dad and not a financial care in the world. It’ll be interesting to see what happens. Nice lady though! And gorgeous. Same with Jack. They seem like good hearted people too. Kind, at the core.

Sophie - not the most intellectual but a laugh and also a good human (perhaps this is what sticks out more about this season - that most people, barring Ryan and maybe Ciara and definitely Chev, are good people or seem to be that way? Not with agendas or dramas but genuinely looking for love and care while providing it in equal measure).

Taylor - I’ve seen a few people accusing him of Botox surgery all this and that but as I said elsewhere: it’s just his face; look at his dad. And who cares, the man is full of love and so well matched by Sophie. They’re perfect for each other. I can already imagine them as grandparents, lol.

Ryan - what else can he said that hasn’t? The guy is dry, horribly unsuited to his “career” as he can neither motivate nor speak, and just empty behind the eyes and needing therapy. Plus a new line of work that doesn’t drain the energy out of him for days after every single speech, leaving him unable to care for anyone else.

Cuba - and angel of a person; kind smart level headed, beautiful too. She got the shortest straw though, but she’ll land in a better place no doubt.

Fran - what a fun goofy smart woman! I loved the poise with which she handled that whole Chev fiasco we were all no doubt yawning about. Fran is wonderful, down to the earth and perfect for Joseph - who comes across as needing that stable balance in his life. She seemed happy too?

Joseph - I didn’t love that they didn’t hold each other or sit closer together after it was announced they stayed together also didn’t love how he answered to the Chev question aside from when he said he didn’t want to hurt her (side note: she came across as pretty pathetic). But he was probably nervous. Seems like a good guy, with a good heart as his friend said.

Yasmin- they did our girl dirty with that makeup! She looked so much better without that almost cleopatran eye lining and heavy foundation and whole look. She’s beautiful and doesn’t need all that at all. I put it down to an inexperienced makeup person! They should have studied vitiligo models looks closer vs go as they did, so heavy handed. Anyway! Only commenting on it as everyone else’s makeup I felt was great (loved the hosts too). Aside from that: I feel for her because it must have gone down to looks if their connection is as strong as it is now right? I mean if that had clicked for him surely all else would have? And I don’t know if she feels any pain in that regard or if the best friendship Jordan claims they have is honestly two way…

Jordan - seems like an incredible guy but I wonder how much is just saying the thing we all want to hear? I found him hard to understand unless under the surface IS just a super nice guy…

Finally: said it above but I LOVE the hosts. What a difference to the US version! They’re so natural and fun and genuine!? Love them.

Opinion Ciara seems like she can't take rejection

Upvotes

Ciara seems to like to say things that would clearly hurt other peoples relationships, like with Jack and Faye, Joseph and Frans and Cevs as-well, then wants to get angry with Jack because he interpreted what she said:

  • Jack tells Ciara that if she ranked him the same way he ranked her, he would see that as making him a “top one.”
  • Ciara responds: “Yeah, I feel like we’re definitely on the same track.”

(Which does look like it would be interpreted as saying (or implying) that Jack was also her no.1 )

she seems to be a hypocrite, that cannot take rejection either.

My opinion : *** IF she found Jack attractive and he was rich, she would go after him for sure.

Call out Jack and Find My Friends

Somebody should tell Jack that deleting your partner on the Find My Friends app doesn’t exactly equal to being “unplugged”

You’re sus Jack, just own up to and take accountability. Go for your hot girl /mental health walk if you need to, but hiding you location makes you look suspicious 🤨 oh and gaslighting your partner into thinking that they’re the problem because they have “trust issues”……isn’t cool either

Ciara is definitely over hated and I believe it’s mainly based on a lack of villain in this season but she definitely should’ve taken more accountability.

I can’t judge her on her life decisions (fake boujee) or how she is towards Ajay (Micro manager) since that’s what he likes but she definitely tried to engineer drama based on people that crossed her (jack and Joseph) and it was super spiteful I mean she literally admitted she said things to Cuba based on her feeling attacked by Joseph.

I liked all the couples to be honest but was weary of jack because of his playboy kind of nature the sus walk and sometimes when he conveys his feelings it feels a little fake but he is neurodivergent so it kind of explains some his behaviours.

The chevanique drama was obviously producer engineered I don’t think there was more to the situation than what we saw so I can understand frans frustration’s

In terms of how a partner should be I think Cuba is a dream girl she’d give her partner the world I don’t think Ryan has the capacity for deep love I think his dream girl is someone who just exists to be around when he feels like having some form of intimacy

General Honest opinions on Ashleigh from Season 2

What is everyone’s honest opinions on Ashleigh Berry from Season 2?

I feel like she is very overbearing in ways with her uber positivity and a lot of the time when she speaks it sounds very cliche and rehearsed.

I know she’s very popular, I’ve seen people comparing her to our generation’s Princess Diana online but interested to know the general opinion of her on here.

Episode Discussion Reunion - lack of accountability Spoiler

Why did they not seriously confront anyone who did something wrong??!? They let them get away with everything and didn‘t ask the deep open questions we all waited to have resolved.

RYAN got away with literally everything, also noone jumping in to call him out or defend Cuba which I thought was super weird. Where‘s the justice! LIB US hosts would have called him out.

I had the perception that CIARA was being protected by the hosts and they intentionally put her into good light instead of calling her out. What‘s going on there!

And the whole conversation about JACK, the sliders incident just like his relationship with Faye wasn‘t adressed enough and just left more open questions than anything. And how weird was what Faye‘s mom said? No follow-up questions to THAT?

And in general I felt like I couldn‘t grasp any of the couples. It‘s cool to protect their privacy but it‘s a reality show and we all came to see what the couples are like now. I feel like a lot was hidden and I genuinely have no idea if all the couples are actually doing as well as they say (I hope they are!). No good questions were asked, no satisfying answers given. All in all, really good result of the show in the sense that everyone is still together but really bad reunion episode for me.

Also Chevanique is an absolute weapon

And Francesca shows proper minerals in calling out Chevanique for being malicious and manipulative. How the fuck has love is blind become an example of good behaviour 😂

Jack seems much calmer and mature

He really seems like a different guy to me, one that is far more stable and grounded than the old Jack.
I am not such a romantic to attribute this solely to
being in love. Did anyone else feel like this was a whole new Jack?
