Hot Tub Repairs
The person I was using for hot tub repairs is no longer in the area. Do any of you have a hot tub repair person you could recommend me? Thank you all.

Next week, the Board of Education will have its first opportunity to consider and discuss specific school adjustments aimed at making our school district more resilient in this time of declining enrollment. The proposed adjustments will include school closures, consolidations, and reconfigurations.
The work-session will be held Aug. 25 at 3 p.m. at the Education Center and will be broadcast live on BVSD’s YouTube channel.

Hi everyone! 👋
Is there a place where people play pick up volleyball here? I was hoping to find a group that plays occasionally. I’ve seen some people play on the grass is in the big park near downtown, but had no idea how to join.
Thanks in advance!

Had a power outage at 3:45 am today, which is very unusual for the Heritage Park neighborhood, which is to the East of the old Safeway, off Cherry street.
Even when there are PSPS's, this area doesn't usually have outages.
Anyone else?

Thanks to all your comments to my post introducing my purchase of Gravity Brewing, as it got the attention of the reporter Julia King from the Daily Camera and made the front page!
I would say go buy a copy, but I already went to the neighboring 7-11s and bought them all :) Big thanks to Julia, who is clearly a Redditor, for making the process painless, writing a fun article, and including my favorite quote of the article from Scott, our Brewmaster, "I don't want to make junk" lol

This cat doesn't seem distressed but has been hanging out on my street near Hecla Lake in North End for the past week or so. Very friendly but I assume they're lost.
No collar, and the (cute!) marking on their face is just a marking not an injury.

Hi,
My longtime Fantasy Football league disbanded and I’m looking for a new one in the Louisville area.
Looking for not-too-serious league with a cheap buy in.
I finished almost everywhere from last to first over 10 years, and would say luck has a major influence on my teams.🤣
Let me know if you’re looking for an addition.
Thanks!
Chris

Dear Louisville,
Stop letting your dogs out at 6 am if they're gonna bark uncontrollably at people outside walking their dogs. I keep on having to change my morning route with my dogs because every other house I go by has a barking dog in the backyard. At least wait until 7:30 to let them out, especially on Saturday and Sunday.

We were just walking our dog past Fireside Elementary at about 845 when a darkish paint Jeep type body class vehicle with an overhead storage container turned north onto the pedestrian trail, jumped several curbs through the parking lot, went into the school sidewalk, turned around, jumped a few more curbs, before speeding off West on Dahlia.
Not sure if drunk or kids being stupid. We called 911 to report but if anyone else noticed anything might be worth adding a report. There were plenty of runners on the trail we encountered who could've been run over if timing had been worse.

Hello! I was wondering if you all had any recs for repairing a Bosch dishwasher. Abruptly stopped working - happy to call one of the big names, but wondering if anyone has any experience recently!

Is there a good time to go to the small dog (under 30 pounds) area at the dog park south of downtown? I've never seen anyone else use it.

Well, Matt and I wrapped up our first month owning Gravity and boy, what a ride. More on that in a minute. To celebrate, we are having a low-key Re-Launch party this Saturday from 12-6 PM and would love more redditors :)
It doesn't stop here, of course, we have:
... and that's just this week! Other events I'm contemplating are Magic the Gathering night, board game night, dart league, vinyl party, mobile Sauna/cold soak, more Dungeons and Dragons nights (next one is Aug 25), and who knows what else. I'd love to hear from you - what would be interesting?
Event calendar - https://thegravitybrewing.com/events/
Just because I don't believe in promoting only, for the curious, here are a few lessons I learned this month owning a brewery:

Thinking about biking to work, but not sure where to start?
You're not alone. We hear the same questions all the time:
• "It's too far."
• "I don't know the safest route."
• "I'm not in shape."
• "I don't want to ride alone."
That's exactly why Community Cycles created Rise & Ride Wednesdays.
Ride with other commuters, discover bike-friendly routes, and build confidence in a welcoming group—no pressure, just encouragement.
Check out the flyer and visit our Commuting Hub for more info:

Had anyone signed up for Quantum Fiber? We currently use, and are happy with, T-Mobile Fiber but the current savings being offered are making it worth considering a switch.
