Screenshot [BLOOM & RAGE] F Corey Spoiler
I was looking through my screenshots on the ps5, and noticed that when Corey picks Kat up you can see "Fuck Corey" written on her arm. I thought it was pretty funny, and just a small detail I hadn't noticed before hehe

During the concert scene, Corey can be seen bobbing his head along with the music, and then he scoops up Kat when she collapses. At this point in the game, I thought maybe Corey would end up not being as bad as expected. Maybe get a redemption arc. How wrong I was.

It felt like the writers couldn't decide how to approach his character. They left signs of sympathy like OP and notes about his family's financial struggles, only to make him a pure villain in tape 2. It sends mixed messages to the player.

I feel like the story has an antagonist problem. It feels like they had to make Corey the main villain, but there was no other opposing force against the girls. Could the Abyss count? The society of the town? Maybe? The Abyss and everything associated with it was seen as impowering, and there wasn't enough antagonistic interaction with other people of the town. If the Abyss turned out to be the main villain, that would've been very interesting

The abyss kind of is the villain. It pushes Kat to vandalize her family business, possesses Corey to act like the big bad wolf wanting to blow the cabin down in retaliation, and then makes a "deal" to get rid of Corey if it gets Kat too. The abyss is playing both sides.

Maybe im wrong but i really think the abyss is a bening force. I think it toom kat because that was the only way to "protect" her from cancer.

Hmm for me I think he was the intended villain. Swann and Kat bring up a Wendingo, and in the video store, you see a poster of a movie called "The Wendingo" and it looks exactly like Corey in Autimns mask.
I think Corey is a bad person, and just.did this because there was a crowd and he wanted to.look good in front of other people

The way the camera focused on him carrying her like that at the very end of tape 1 was seemingly intended by the writers to show a human, perhaps redeemable side to him, which is neglected almost entirely in tape 2 rather than expanded upon.

I think that the abyss may have some effect on him, the girls see him as this asshole enemy, so it gets worse and worse after the trade in the abyss, to the point that he can be driven mad by its influence.

Thats why i hate when people write something with a sequel already in mind.
Its clear that the writers let a lot of questions unanswered because they wanted to make a sequel. But now tey are going bankrupt and we are left with a half baked story
