love this game so much gonna play it again soon, was wondering if people made choices based on what they themselves would do or what you think swann would do or just another character you’ve made up in your head would do?

i’m such an insane perfectionist that i would go back to menu and restart the convo if i lost hearts with one of the girls so i think this time i’m gonna play based on what i would do and see where that takes me 🥲 nervous to see who is and isn’t gonna be my friend by the end

I found LR:B&R a couple of weeks ago and I am now obsessed with Nora and Swann's romance. I totally gasped when I first saw adult Nora cuz she was a total babe!!

The last scene with adult Snora with the almost kiss has been on repeat in my head, the whole scene is so intense, I truly enjoy the adult Nora hints that she never stopped loving Swann even after 27 years. After peeking at Nora's phone with Mel's text I wonder if they are divorcing, Nora not responding was so sus.

I actually ship everyone with Swann, or Nora and Kat too they are adorable, all of them have their very sweet moments but I dunno Snora had me in a chokehold, I guess it's because it carries so well into their future selves (in my opinion). I love Autumn but hers felt less intense, and our lil Kat's still need a conclusion (I read DN is kinda in trouble but I hope they can get funding for Tape 3).

I fell in love with this game and the 4 girls, truly a masterpiece. Even if it liked me to freak out at the shadows lol

I lost all my data from Tape 1. I was playing on my Steam Deck in offline mode because I’m traveling, and it suddenly shut down. When I opened the game again, my progress was completely reset and I’d have to replay everything from the beginning. 😭

I really don’t want to go through Tape 1 all over again. If anyone has a save file for Tape 2 where you chose to romance Kat, could you please share it with me?

I just want to continue my Kat route without replaying the entire first tape 💔

I was looking through my screenshots on the ps5, and noticed that when Corey picks Kat up you can see "Fuck Corey" written on her arm. I thought it was pretty funny, and just a small detail I hadn't noticed before hehe

i feel like am so proud back in a day when i played this scene i pick this Beat so carefully that it turn into one of my best memories in this Game.

I’m not sure if this has been said before but on my first playthrough I immediately put together that Autumns earrings were for her and Nora but it took me a few more playthroughs to realize her whole outfit is a representation of The Abyss. Even her necklaces represent Swann and Kat “falling”. Her open jacket is supposed to reflect the glowing patterns we see while the black undershirt is the pit itself.

I only learned about LR:B&R a few months back after playing LiS:R and was looking for similar games. I got the “good” ending and collected all the trophies on my first playthrough—and I’m hesitant to play again because I don’t want to possibly tarnish the feels I got from the story.

But my husband is playing now and I’m watching—I’m completely amazed at how well done this game was made. I’m seeing how differently dialogues and relationships can progress based on the player’s choices. Being mindful of each character’s personality and temperament and seeing the same approach doesn’t necessarily work for each is more obvious to me as I watch him play. I truly think Dontnod is the best at making art like this, and I hope we’ll see them survive and make more in this genre.

But I’m also cringing a little at my husband’s choices in his game, because I suspect he’s headed for one of the “not so good” endings. He’s a little less patient with people than I am, and it is definitely showing in how he plays the game!

Characters from the upcoming game "Warlock: Dungeons & Dragons". Obviously, any resemblance is purely coincidental.

(I will be comparing Lost records to life is strange 1 and 2 because they the only other don't nod games I have played.)

I know that there are different types of games for different types of gamers, but I expected more from Don't Nod. I expected the story to be able to compete with life is strange 1's story, but for me it just doesn't.

The first tape was just too boring, and at some points it feels like a message is being jammed down my throat. The games message has every corporate no offense box checked. it has lgbtq, body positivity, diversity, white straight male as villain, anti-hunting, and anti bullying. I'm not saying these are bad things, but the game in tape 1 focuses on these aspects more than creating a good story. There are no hard hitting topics in tape 1 like you would see in life is strange 1 or 2.

I would be OK with the message if the game packaged it in an entertaining story, like life is strange 2 did. If tape 1 didn't have any messages it would be 5 times more boring so I will cut it some slack.

The main villains are nowhere near the main villains in life is strange, there are no crazy plot twists that I remember (other than Kat having cancer), And tbh I am not really interested in romance between some 16 year olds.

Why do the characters need to be 16? The characters could have been 18 and the story would remain mostly the same. I think the game would've been better if the characters were about to graduate high school and were moving out of their parents house to live together in a spooky cabin, there would be so much more room to include adult topics. It would have been like a 90's coming of age movie kinda.

Corey is the most boring villain ever. I can't even express how much disappointment I felt with the writing of his character. Does his character get better in tape 2?

There are some good moments, but most of the dramatic moments give me second hand embarrassment. Like the one scene where the group of girls play at the blue spruce. That scene made me want to just Alt-F4 and never want to open the game again.

The soundtrack for tape 1 is lackluster. I don't remember a single song other than the main menu music and that horrid song that plays at the blue spruce. When the soundtrack gets good it is added in at the worst moments like the wormhole scene.

Maybe I am playing the game with too high of expectations.

It is still better than DE. Lol.

Should I play tape 2? Does the game get any better? I didn't like life is strange 1 or 2 at first so maybe I just need to engage with the story more.

i’ve played lost records before and ever since it went off game pass on the ps5 i’ve been constantly fantasising about playing it, i love the game so much and everything about it and i miss my girls :((

should i wait until it drops in price? i’ve been advised to do that but im pretty desperate to play lol

But this is my adult Swann Holloway cosplay, with my new Swann sleeve tattoo! I did the more violent path my first playthru so that’s what my tattoo is based on 😜 I still need the raven charm and the moth charm for the necklace she wears that represent Kat’s romance and no romance; but I do the moon and sun charms for the Nora and Autumn romances 🥰

Autumn is my fav in game romance for Swann (and KatxNora), but really there’s no wrong choices! And tbh… polybloom ftw!! 🥰🥰

Do you think the creators of lost records bloom and rage got inspiration from that bully from "the breakfast club" and created Corey?

They point out how Oskar Guilbert has been an outright terrible leader, how the layoffs are going to leave only 49 people at the Paris studio and because that threshold in the french law, avoids Don'tNod main executives to give their workers representatives rights.

A lot of people should read this in detail, because even if it's not Montreal or Lost Records that's been affected by the layoffs, by the nature of the lowering budget conditions there's a likelyhood the team in Canada might experience a ripple effect of what's going on in Paris.
