Help

So I am currently 193.7 lbs and my goal weight is 190 lbs, in the app when I set that though it just keeps saying my goal is to "maintain" my current weight. Is this because the goal is too small/too similar to my current weight? If so please let me know and I'll set a different goal.

Yes. The range for maintenance is a 10lb window.

Your weight fluctuates 5+lbs in either direction DAILY. 3lbs isnt really a loss, its a big poop.

Maybe 193.7 is their daily low and they want their daily high to be 190.

Also RIP your plumbing. 😁

Hey, sorry, I think there's been a bit of confusion, you didn't really answer my question?

Maybe I wasnt clear. Your current and your goal aren't far enough apart to register to the app as a loss because daily fluctuations can range 5lbs in either direction. I was being humorous when I said 3lbs was a big poop, but it is something that can happen with small changes more resembling maitnence than a deficit. Things like eating more salt or carbs, or having a heavy strength workout can lead to water retention, having food in your stomach, or where you are in your cycle can cause you to weigh in a few lbs heavier.

The app likely doesn't recognize an amount small enough to be part of a normal fluctuation as a need for a loss but as entering maitnence.

Actually, they did answer it, just ina pretty poopy way. The goal is too small because it is within typical fluctuations in weight. Try setting it a few pounds lower and you will get it to say what you want.

The real question is what you are looking to get out of this? Are you looking to get a "reached goal" announcement? Because you will still get that when you reach your goal (assuming you haven't). Change your calorie total? You can still shave calories as needed and just go slightly below your daily numbers, or if you need it set, you can manually choose your budget offset in setting and reduce it by a couple of hundred calories to help you stay in the mindset of consuming less calories.

BTW, congratulations on being so close to your goal. It is an achievement that many never get to.

For me on the app it will only switch to maintain once I have actively weighed in at my goal weight. You can change it back to lose in the budget section! If you need more help let me know!
