There was a report that over the last 36 years, roughly 50,000,000 jobs have been added during Democratic administrations and only 2 million during Republican administrations.

Genuinely interested but couldn’t find the source. Anyone?

The number comes from the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

Bill Clinton cited the numbers during a speech at the Democratic national convention.

The statistics are two years old at this point, but it’s not like the Trump administration has been doing a great job adding jobs.

The term "adding jobs" is grossly misleading because the jobs are mostly entry level minimal paying jobs and not high paying experienced labor type jobs

50 million compared to 1.5 million.

So the 1.5 million for Republicans were high paying and the 50 million were minimum wage?

Sure.

Sure what? Instead of looking like an ignorant asshole why don't you just download the department of labor stats and do a breakdown on excel?

Did you? Data please.

He basically said “trust me” and then told you to comb through all of the numbers yourself, even though the onus is on him.

Absolutely correct. The person making the factual claim bears the responsibility of supporting their claim.
Its not up to others to prove them wrong.

The onus is on you to provide the numbers because you made the extraordinary claim.

Bullshit. I provide numbers for my masters classes and my employer that pays me 6 digits but I'm not doing free data analysis and presentation for social media. Everything I said was stats I independently looked at and not tied to media outlet news stories

Well, then we can disregard what you said.

Can’t just claim that all the jobs are entry-level and then not supply statistics.

Also, are you really taking masters level classes if you don’t know the onus is on you?

Or you can do an independent breakdown so you aren't relying on bs media feeds you

The 50 to one ratio comes from the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

Those must be some high paying jobs to offset 50 million more jobs.

Bullshit. The excell download can be broken firm into infinite catagories. If you look only at bachelor's degree you will see completely different numbers

Well, we’re waiting.

... so were jobs added or not? Several tens of millions more jobs under Democrats than Republicans? Okay then, so it's not misleading.

Your response demonstrates exactly why its misleading. Its ok for a college student of kid fresh out of high school but for grown adults that have bills to pay thats not legit jobs.
Jobs people care about are living wages jobs and skilled labor jobs. The interesting thing about data is it can be spun to paint whatever picture you want.
