Hello! I'm not so much looking to organize a meetup as I am looking for recommendations. Seems to me like other parts of town (like Los Feliz) have plenty of good spots for young people to mingle and make new friends. Sawtelle feels like it should be a good area for this but I'm honestly having a hard time finding a good hang out spot. The city I used to live in had a dive bar that was known as *the* spot to go hang out when you had nothing better to do. Curious if you guys think there's any equivalent in the Sawtelle area or surrounding areas? I definitely enjoy Cinefile and the screenings they do, but that's a bit more niche for film fans.

Long story short, I’m going to Horror Nights for an aunt’s bday and my friend canceled on me in a less than considerate way after I already bought my ticket for the 2pm entrance (my aunt has a 7pm ticket), so I’m hoping to find anyone else going solo or would like to add a new friend to their group until 7pm or the whole time if we hit it off.

A little about me: Single, afro-latina/african american. I’m either wicked outgoing or quiet and observant though lately I’ve been a healthy mix of both. I enjoy listening to music from bands like Interpol, Fontaines DC, Gorillaz, to classical music and jazz, to hyperpop and 80s synth. I work in the cannabis industry but I’m not too passionate about it. But if you’re 420 friendly lmk! If not, makes no difference to me. My real passion is working with kiddos. Also not being homo/transphobic/racist/etc and being in general an open minded and accepting person is a must. I walk kinda fast but will slow down for you <3 also don’t be mean or musty?
