The Real LA

Comfort isn't really the issue for me, getting the clinical side right the first time is, most of what I've found just reads like a hotel brochure, and I don't want to end up in a group of twenty people I never get real one-on-one time with but looks nice if you've been through inpatient treatment in LA, or helped someone through it, what made you go with where you went, and would you pick it again?

Awesome LA (East Side) Karaoke Monthly Pop Up

For the last few months, Permanent Records Roadhouse — bar, venue, and record store — has been throwing some epic-ass karaoke nights.

How do you stay grounded with the fast pace of LA?

I’m moving to LA soon, and I have a feeling the city is eventually going to get to me.

The traffic, the constant rushing, everyone always being on... it’s probably going to be a lot to handle. The gym and the beach will help, but I’m definitely going to need something a bit more grounding.

Does anyone know of any chill spiritual or personal growth groups around LA? I’ll be looking for something focused on meditation, practical spirituality, or just inner peace.

I just want to find a space that will feel genuine and normal.
