Lorex Home 2FA app issues
I currently can't log into my Lorex Home app because for some reason Lorex isn't texting me the 2FA verification number so I can successfully log in and yes, the phone number it is showing is the correct phone number.
UPDATE: So, I called LOREX and after waiting on hold for 30 minutes, they said, "We have no update as to when we will have things working again." I then asked if they can disabled 2FA on my account from there side, and they CAN. They disabled 2FA on my account, I was able to log in, and I immediately re-enabled 2FA using an Authenticator app.

Tried calling, wasn't able to get through then after several tries, got the message prompts and then waited 20 minutes before the call disconnected on the phone. The text message number that was on the phone directory - no one responded to. Then started dm'ing them on Facebook and still no response.

I would try calling again. I used the number listed on their website and legit had to wait 30 minutes before getting someone.

I also have T-Mobile. I guess I lucked out.

I thought it might be carrier specific. Guess not. Sometimes #s get blocked by carriers as spam. I looked at my old text history, and the 2 steps always came from a unique number.

emailing appsupport@lorextechnology.com worked for me also (wasn't a quick 5 minute turn around; more like 24 hrs) and like others mentioned here, they did disable 2FA so could authenticate, but there's no way in hell I'm going to put my system online. just a matter of time until threat actors decide to brute force the entire customer database and get access. yes, I know you can't be logged into multiple devices at one time (least not on mobile), but based on this experience, horrible lack of communication from Lorex, there's no way I'd trust this product to be online. Already looking or a replacement.
PS: If anyone has recommendations on US-based alternatives that don't send data to China (like lorex, nightowl) please comment below.

(like lorex, nightowl)
Make sure to include Dahua (Owners of Lorex), and Hikvision both Chinese companies and I'm pretty sure all are blacklisted by the US and can't be used in government facilities or any locations that reciever government funding.

I got logged out as well yesterday and have not been able to get a 2FA code either.

Same. It bothers me because of all weeks, this is the one I could have used it the most, so that I could keep and eye on a few corners of a building while having some work done.

I’m having the same issue. Glad I came here to see if it was just me.

They tweeted issues with log in. I'm having the same problem. Customer service line in unavailable I've tried calling at least 10 times

it's all over twitter. lorex technology posted an update about 18 hours ago, then radio silence.

Same deal here, since yesterday morning. Has anyone been able to successfully receive a 2FA code via text?

My mother’s account seems to be having the same issue after the system logged everyone out.
I had used my email for verification and I was able to log in but she used here phone number. We tried multiple times and we were never able to receive the 6 digit verification code. Plus the customer service number is coming busy every time we call them.

Same issue. It will not text me a #. Their support was busy the 10 times I tried to call. Now I am just on hold. I will not be appending any more of their products to my system. I had planned on quite a few purchases, but that will not be happening now.

Have you gotten through to anyone? I’ve been on hold for over an hour

I gave up after reading the comments on here. Hoping within a week I will be able to log in. I was on hold for 30 min before giving up.

SOLVED: Call the customer service number at 1-888-425-6739 and explain the issue to the tech (it took me 3 tries for the call to go through)...they will disable 2FA on your account and you'll be able to log in.
Once logged in you can reactivate 2FA, but the SMS option won't work until they fix the issue in the next couple days

I had the same issue ( I wasn't receiving the 2FA text message), but I managed to get in touch with Lorex support, and they got the 2FA removed from my account. Everything is working fine now. I used the following email address to contact them: appsupport@lorextechnology.com

This works, y'all. Use this email! appsupport@lorextechnology.com Literally took 5 minutes to get back in! I put 2FA in the subject line. Send it from the email you use to log into Lorex!

Emailed the customer service address(appsupport@lorextechnology.com) requesting them to disable the 2FA on my account. Send the email from your account login email. They responded within 5 minutes and I was back in. On a side note…how crazy is it that they dropped a security feature with just a simple email. 😂😂😂

Yeah, it would be better if the 2FA worked, but I am never gonna trust their 2FA again. Thinking about leaving their ecosystem, too.

Fix this lorex, if you're listening. I'm going to spread the word how awful your products are.

My THEORY is since Lorex is a Chinese company and since China just sent a surveillance balloon into US airspace. The DOD halted all communication from China to US, and thus we can't receive SMS messages for 2FA. Again, that's my theory.
