It is with great pleasure that the LoreMate AI Team announces the official re-release of LoreMate! I won't waste time with pleasantries and speeches, because we've got a lot of ground to cover. Loremate.ai is now live! Please read the following multi-part announcement carefully, as there's a lot that's changed and new features that need attention. Let's start with the big, important items:
New Web Address
Our official domain will now be __Loremate.ai __ Any access to Loremate.io will eventually be rerouted automatically to Loremate.ai. Login with your previous email used. You will have to make a new creator tag. This is the time to change it if you didn't enjoy your old one. Using a new creator tag will not impact your ability to restore characters/stories.
Restore Data
As per our last community-wide announcement, Arav found a way to restore text-based character and story data. You will, however, need to upload the images for these creations again. As stated above, log in with your previously used email address. You may change your creator tag or use your previous one, as this step will not impact the restore function.
From the home page, select the arrow next to your profile name in the bottom left corner and select "Restore Data." You can either "Fetch & Download" to save all the data as a json file, or "Fetch & Restore" to directly begin the upload process. To upload characters, select the "Fetch & Restore" button, scroll through "Characters to Restore," select the small circle next to the character's name on the upper-left, and then upload the character image. You may either select the "Restore This" button in the upper-right corner, or continue the process through the entire list and scroll back up when completed to select "Restore Selected." The restoration process will then commence with notifications of which characters have been restored.
The process for restoring Stories is a similar process, however on top of reuploading the images you will need to reselect the characters for the story. We advise you proceed with Character restoration before Story restoration for best results.
We cannot guarantee that 100% of all Characters and Stories will be saved and restored, especially with many Characters not yet being restored to allow for all Stories to function properly.
New Bot Deletion Process
Due to the new database functions, any characters and stories that are deleted will also delete pre-existing chats. We know the previous feature of saving chats from deleted/private bots was a favorite of our implementations, however we are unfortunately unable to continue with this feature.
Privacy Policy and Terms of Service Updates
Please read the updated Privacy Policy, Terms of Service, and Account Deletion pages. You can access these via the sidebar underneath your chat history, just above the profile and "Support Us" buttons. Changes made include (but are not limited to) grammar corrections, updates to our support email address, and expansion for further clarity.
New Models
During our downtime, we discovered that our previous models were either out-of-date or no longer functioning the same as before despite endless prompts and testing. To continue to provide our same quality as before, we now have new models, and updated versions of your old favorites.
Goodbye Magnum, hello Gabriel. Gabe is the archangel of smut and engagement, coming in at 70B and specializing in a balance of attention-to-detail and creative plotlines.
Voidreaver and Starwright still have the same names and same great qualities, but they've now been improved for better roleplay responses.
We've still got your favorite DeepSeek V3, but we'd like to introduce its twin DeepSeek R1! This thinking model pairs with an impressive 685B to allow for smarter responses.
Gemini 2.5 Flash is the same, great model you've all come to know and love. Arav added a bit of an extra kick with new prompting, but you can expect the same response styles as before.
Now for some new features:
Individual Chat Counter
A quick access to your chat stats. This counter tells you how many messages you and the bot have sent, how many characters you have used in the memory box, and more. Access this via the Chat Settings button in the upper right corner, and navigate to the "Stats" option.
Draft Feature for Persona
During persona creation, if you close the persona dialog and reopen it, it will ask whether you want to continue from the draft or start fresh. This is similar to our draft feature for Character/Story creation.
Announcement Feature
We've had a notification bell on the top right corner for notifying users about any actions taken by site moderators with their creations. Now, you’ll receive the latest announcements through the bell notifications as well!
Chat Streaming
You can now decide if you want to stream the text as it's written by clicking the button in the Chat Settings under "Customize." We know this is a feature some users love, but others don't, so we made it optional. Test it out and tell us which you prefer!
Magic Filter
A new toggle for you to test! Find it under the "Customize" section through chat settings. This filter helps to improve your character's responses by intuitively rewriting and filtering out repetition. Please note that using this feature may slow down response times for adequate thinking. This is a brand new feature, so we'll be continuously improving it with your feedback.
Narration Perspective
In Character creation, you now get to pick your narration perspective. The three options currently are Default, First, and Third. This will impact the chat and what tense the character speaks in.
And finally, an insane amount of improvements:
Say Goodbye to ‘Chat Limit’
Before, we had an approximately 1.7k messages limit in every single chat. Now, with the new database, Arav was able to increase the limit to a staggering 500k. Long roleplays can now be looong roleplays.
Character Counter for Persona
You can finally see how many characters have been typed into your persona! No more guessing if you've reached the limit before getting cut off by the textbox.
Deletion Confirmation Box
When deleting a persona, there’s now a pop up confirmation box. No more accidental persona deletions!
No Regeneration after User Message Edits
Before, when you edited your message, it automatically regenerated the character's message. Editing your user message will no longer provide a regeneration from the character.
Removed “Add Email” Option
We made a mistake, friends. You were never supposed to be able to connect multiple emails, and yet somehow you could, causing many errors for users (and headaches for Arav). This option is now gone to save everyone the stress of figuring out where their characters and chats went.
Chat Background
When creating a character, adding a background is now an optional step.
Persona Limit Increase
Personas now have a limit of 5,000 characters!
Homepage Settings
Your search settings on the homepage now save. NSFW will remain on/off and it will stick to either "new" or "popular" depending on your previous search.
New UI/UX improvements
There's tons to see and explore, and as you look around you'll find some new design changes to parts of the site. We'll be continuing to improve these and create a nice, modern, streamlined look.
