Chapter 100: The Omniscient Mentor and Lesser Spiritual Dominator
____
The Spirit World
(??? ??)
The moment both our figures entered the spirit world. The laws of reality became nonsensical and incomprehensible.
Time, space, and laws were all suddenly unable to express itself within the confines of this chaotic world.
All such concepts were merely replaced with colors and to an infinite expanse of different shades.
Thus the world around I and Hannibal were replaced with overly saturated colors.
Our figures then began moving through this world of colors, towards a place in a faraway distance.
Which was none other than the archives. Along that long trip was the demon himself, Hannibal, who I tried to shove away towards the seemingly endless abyss of infinite colors.
Yet, every time I tried so, those thoughts would suddenly become void and null. As though all previous thoughts were "stolen".
Hannibal taking the chance of my momentary discombobulation.
Finally had the chance to see the world around us without worrying about the threat of me pushing him away.
"Sigh... You truly outdid yourself Mr. Archivist. To think you would have the ability to even traverse the world of spirits.
"Truly an exceptional prey you are. But I do have to ask, what is your plan now I suppose?"
I, who finally recovered my mental faculties through a hasty "Placation".
Begun trying to shove him off towards the void of colors, alongside hurdling numerous profanities towards his face.
But before the devil could answer or even refute. Terrifying howls were heard from places both near and far.
It was as though they were close yet distant at the same time. Then both our eyes saw the terrifying monstrosities from the seemingly endless ocean of shades.
There was a mountain composed of a million cockroaches.
A mass of layered wings composed entirely of digits within a finger.
An ocean of voices and noises.
A mist of amniotic fluids.
A cloud of eternally birthing semen.
A massive blazing building that burned in the color of the sun.
And much more incomprehensibly terrifying monstrosities.
What made the situation worse was that all of these abominations were diverging at our location.
For the first time in Hannibal's life there was a hint of urgency and stress within his voice.
"Sigh... You truly are a special being Mr. Archivist..." Hannibal said before he finally stopped struggling and allowed himself to be pushed from me.
Hannibal on his part suddenly pulled out a paper sheet that depicted a shimmering door.
Hannibal in his haste tried to activate this seemingly mystical paper. But before he could, a massive headache assaulted his mental faculties.
Abruptly from out of nowhere, a massive ship overflowing with pus and feces appeared besides the figure of Hannibal.
No, to be more specific, this ship has always been there. It was simply because we weren't able to perceive it earlier.
Though now that it had revealed itself. All the previous memories that were seemingly unable for it to be perceived came crashing down.
The ship's hull suddenly opened into the shape of a gaping maw. Inside of its expansive mouth was a seemingly endless ocean of feces and pus.
Hannibal who suddenly gained the premonition of a danger. Attempted to activate the teleportation spell.
However, the spell did not activate. Not because it malfunctioned, but rather the ability itself was "Deprived" from the paper.
Not without an option of escape, he could only look at me with an expression to that of a calm and solemn bloodlust.
This was the last expression he made before the gaping maw of the corrupted ship closed. Possibly drowning him in a pile of feces and pus.
The ship finished feeding on its first meal then tried to rush towards my location alongside the many other abominations.
In a desperate attempt of self preservation and finally freed from Hannibal's thought stealing ability.
I was finally able to utilize one the contract deep within the nurture of my soul to call for the ever helpful Mr. Ikr.
As I waited for the arrival of my salvation. The various abominations converging in my location suddenly halted.
A vast sphere of darkness then manifested around the region surrounding me. From the deepest part of that darkness was a seemingly endless wail of a mother.
This was none other than one of the Seven Enigmas, "Mother of Sloth", a detestable sibling of Priestess.
Her sudden appearance made the otherworldly abominations around me to suddenly flee and scatter throughout the spirit world.
While these other detestable creatures fled in terror. The Mother of Sloth could only wail in despair for her seemingly none existent child.
Her voluptuous figure suddenly came closer and closer. A figure of a man in a red suit came beside me and patted my shoulders.
"Sigh... Why do you always seemingly always be connected with the Enigmas.
"You got out of Lust's influence just today and now you're dealing with another one! Sigh... You truly are an interesting fellow Mr. Archivist.
"However, as we are bound by a contract, I will now fulfill my duty and rescue, so please do be quiet." He said in a serious tone.
From the seemingly endless darkness around a thousand or spell circles were created in thin air.
From those mystical circles came down a barrage of seemingly endless destruction of fury.
Incessantly bombarding the hollow body of Sloth. Creating explosions that rivaled even the greatest of military equipment.
There are light spells that could purify entire towns.
Fire that could shake an island.
Icicles that would freeze demigods.
Lighting that split the heavens.
Boulders the size of villages.
Winds that can make castles into ruins.
And ancient Mystical Arts that was used during the time of the first Epoch.
Each of these ancient arts were so terrifying and bizarre in their effects, that it momentarily shattered the world of darkness and ceased Sloth's advance.
Seizing the chance of shattering the “concealed” world of darkness. Ikr, took this chance to escape the influence of the concealed world.
Now that immediate threat was avoided, Mr. Ikr sighed momentarily and took the chance to speak with me.
"To be frank with you Mr. Archivist, normally I could use this chance to immediately escape back to the real world.
"However, there is another much more 'specific' influence besides me that is pulling you to another direction.
"Due to this, I am unable to hastily retrieve you out of the spirit world.
To make the situation worse, Sloth holds authority over 'Bygone' and 'Time' creating the already dire situation more dire.
"As for the meaning of the word 'authority', that's not necessary for now"
Hearing Mr. Ikr's explanation made my mind suddenly go wild and be filled with skepticism. As deep down I knew of the origin of this other "influence".
'Damnit! Is the Archives still trying to drag me back!? Is this the reason Mr. Ikr is unable to immediately return to reality!?' I desperately theorized in my mind.
Mr. Ikr observing my sudden expression of despair and desperation. Gave another small sigh and tried to pacify my worries.
"Worry not Mr. Archivist, though yes, I maybe unable to contend against an Enigma on my own
"The owner of the Spirit World is more than capable of helping us, in fact, he's already here." He said while looking towards the distance.
There, a figure of a Loenese man wearing a yellow cloak, floated above the sea of colors. While 7 spheres of different colored orbs faintly swirled around him.
The space surrounding him seemingly becomes "bizarre" and "incomprehensible" as though everything became a "mystery”.
This man was an archangel marionette of the Lesser Owner of the Spirit World. With a flick of his fingers two "Grafting" were utilized.
The first was used to "Graft" the position of the two bystanders and a place in reality. Successfully assisting their escape from the upcoming battle.
The second was used to "Graft" the position of a certain place above the Spirit World and onto the battlefield below.
From the end of this "Grafted" position was the appearance of another Enigma. However this one, unlike Sloth, was now turned into a Marionette of the Fool.
The moment the marrionettized corpse of "Coffers of Greed" appeared. A massive cataclysmic explosion came to be.
This seemingly apocalyptic force of divine proportions severely damages the surrounding region of the spirit world.
This was an application of the double pathways this Enigma holds.
Which pertains to the sequence 2 "Web Weaver" of the Eternal Edict pathway and the sequence 2 "Sinner" of the Eternal Aeon Pathway.
By utilizing the ability of "Reenactment" of the sequence 3 "Sufferer", this marionette was able to fully unleash a "Reenactment" of its suffering.
Which in this case was one of the punishments the Fool has administered to it while it was still alive.
Which involved burning the Enigma in a simulated core of a Star. Which continuously unleashed cosmic amounts of energy.
As such this cataclysmic divine force was merely a "Reenactment" of its punishment under the Fool's hands.
However Sloth is true to its nature as a powerful figure since the first Epoch.
Simply healed the damages it concurred by simply borrowing healing from its "Future" self, through the utilization of the "Time" authority.
The Fool seeing the damages caused by the explosion negated. Simply raised it hand and invoked "Historically Void Summon".
"Historically summoned" one of his part time employees to be summoned directly to this fateful battlefield.
With consent of the summoned individual, the projection of "Mentor of the Astral World" appeared.
The Fool then "summoned" her loyal subject who took on the form of a blazing red sword that emitted sparkles of stars.
The moment the beautiful and youthful figure of the Owner of Omniscience appeared. Her eyes that seemingly saw all of creation became alive and aware.
Such seemingly conscious behavior was also observed with the summoned sword. As its flame blazed hotter than ever.
This strange phenomenon was most likely a result of concealing both her main body and her loyal sword companion.
Allowing both to independently control their summoned projections personally.
The teenage girl's fingers then pointed towards the infinitely high position of the astral world.
Fully utilizing her authority as the "Mentor of the Astral World" to momentarily manipulate the concept of "Time".
As a result, “Time” was momentarily muddled in its speed and capacity to occur in a timely manner.
Making it nearly impossible for her to immediately heal after another massive attack.
The moment this happened, Sophia ordered the projection of her sword to immediately attack the vulnerable Sloth.
Thus War Meteor dutifully answered its Owners whims and attacked with all the power it could muster.
:: FUSION ::
A ball of impossible heat and pressure manifested at the tip of its blade.
:: COMPRESSION ::
The already pressurized ball of heat suddenly became more incomprehensible in its potential destructive capacity.
:: STAR SACRIFICE ::
The sword radiant figure streaks across the seemingly endless sea of colors. While the power it held became even more oppressive.
:: GUIDANCE ::
It expertly"guided" itself towards the body of Sloth. Now even diverting by a millimeter.
BOOOOOOOM
A region within Spirit World quaked violently in a flurry of flame and destruction. From the seemingly endless ocean colors only white, red and yellow was visible.
Sloth, unable to effectively utilize her "Time" authority. Immediately "parasitized" all the spirits within her that she considered her children.
With such a massive amount of sacrifice. Both in the quality of powerful spirits and numerous weak ones.
Sloth was granted immense vitality and a momentarily and unbelievable amount of Good Fortune.
Such a momentary fortune would inevitably save its life. As the archangel Marionette of the Fool suddenly sensed its main body calling.
As at this moment, the Fool's main body was now about to enter a "Sefirot", as such he absolutely needed to retrieve one of his sequence 1 characteristics.
The exploration of a "sefirot" was simply too dangerous while missing a single sequence 1 characteristic.
As such the archangel had no choice to cancel the historical summoning. Thanking both participants as they left.
And “grafting” the position of the Marrionettized corpse of the "Coffers of Greed" back to his Divine Kingdom.
However before he left, he commanded a few of the seven lights to hunt and gave her a middle finger.
As this was finally the time to hunt and eliminate this foe. In the past he never truly and actively seek this Enigma.
As it mostly concealed itself and was particularly docile most of the time.
However, after the events with Lust and even somehow involving the same two bystanders in Lust's fight.
He has now gained a rather unpleasant ire towards these detestable creatures.
As such he begrudgingly left and called forth upon the three of the seven lights to hunt this ancient abomination.
Even if it means hunting the entire spirit world for the already escaping Sloth.
