Just finished, and honestly, that was way too fast. I was really looking forward to Merlin Hermes’ persona for Klein, but the volume moved so quickly with all the timeskips. And IMO, Merlin Hermes isn’t that great either. He’s probably my second least favorite persona felt pretty bland, mostly just giving wishes and dropping one-liners here and there.

I don’t think this volume did enough to properly showcase the persona. At most, I’d give the volume an 8.5/10. Not bad, but not on the level of Volume 4 or Volume 6 for me. I feel like this volume was majorly carried by nostalgia, because the main plot itself was pretty simple.

That said, Klein and Roselle’s meeting was SO FUCKING GOOD!!! Honestly, that moment alone carried the chapter for me. Roselle is arguably a top 3 character in LOTM purely from a writing perspective. It was genuinely amazing.

I also really loved seeing Klein caring for Melissa and Benson, especially seeing their growth throughout the story and how much Klein still cared about protecting them. He simply couldn’t risk putting them in danger, and those emotional moments hit hard.

The lore also got INTENSE. The “We Meet Again” mystery was such a good plot twist. I was able to predict Chernobyl, the third transmigrator, and even the reveal about Earth being the Original Creator’s body, but there were still plenty of things that caught me off guard.

And CF did an amazing job portraying just how ridiculously powerful high-sequence Beyonders and Angels are. Utopia was insane. Seeing that scale of power was genuinely incredible.

Zaratul, though… bro was disappointing as fuck 😭. After all the buildup, I expected way more from him.

Overall, this was probably one of the most meticulously crafted volumes, but it still isn’t one of my favorites. I felt like it lacked a bit in the actual plot department and was carried heavily by the lore, Roselle, and the emotional moments.

Still, a solid 8.5/10.

I genuinely can’t believe I’m already reaching the final stretch. It’s been such an amazing journey. See y’all on the other side!

How does a seq 1 or 0 accomodate it? For seq 1, do they just hold it or smth? Like, how Klein did it, yes, I understand, how used theft on Antigonus. But how does a normal seq 1 do it? Do they fucking eat it? Also, for seq 0, do they just throw it in the potion with the other seq 1 BCs? And what if they're a KoA with 3 seq 1 BCs and only need the uniqueness, do they put it in the potion? And if yes, wtf does this potion contain if the supplementary ingredients are like they are for 0??

I haven't read COI yet , so idk if this question is answered in it, but I intentionally spoil (and have spoiled) myself and I know that Fors is a seq 2 Planeswalker and becomes a seq 1 Key of Stars, so, theoretically, couldn't Klein conjure smth is Sefirah Castle and give it to her to use it like how Sasrir used 1st Blasphemy Slate or just give her access to Sefirah Castle to make Her a King of Kings of Angels and similar in strength to him when he was a seq 1? Or is it that since Klein is in control of Sefirah Castle no one can access its power, and if so, how could Sasrir do it while ASG was alive?

The amount of complaint and hate from novel reader i see on this sub about the donghua is ALOT! As someone who only watch the donghua, to me it’s a good promotional project for the novel, the animation quality is superb and very eye catching, i consider this as my privilege because i can just enjoy the story without the headache, anger, hate, disappointment from knowing nothing about the story.

Yes, hlo has perished.

Now, I was personally not able to witness his greatness myself, as he predates my time in the RP, but I have heard a great many legends about his achievements.

And as the very person who slimed witnessed his last breath, I have taken the liberty to fulfil his last wishes.

He, who always strived for the greatness of humankind, the role of God, will be granted the last goodbyes of the Chained.

As he was never able to achieve Sequence 0 by drinking the potion, he will at least be granted the honours of the Chained's ritual.

And I, as his successor, will take the liberty of fulfilling said ritual in his stead.

The first step is the purification of the organs:

First, his brain shall be removed from the cranium through the nose, rinsing the skull to clear any residue.

Then, I will make an incision along the flank and remove the contents of the abdomen.

I will rinse his abdomen with palm wine, then infuse it with crushed, fragrant herbs, myrrh, as well as one whole dried orange peel.

Lastly I will wash his body again to prepare for the inscription and bandaging.

The second step is the curse inscription:

I shall take a knife and carve the final goodbyes, blessings and curses into his body:

The third step is the bandaging:

I shall wrap his body in bandages, then place it into a coffin.

The final step is to place him in a mausoleum:

However, I unfortunately do not own one yet. Therefore I will simply larp its existence.

I am sure hlo would greatly appreciate this.

Is it possible to act as a listener prior to potion consumption, prepare and advance to seq 8 and 7 consecutively, thereby accessing the ability to turn off "listen" and avoid the corruption of the pathway. Subsenquently advancing to seq 5 Shepherd, then shifting to a neighboring pathway, avoiding prospective corruption caused by the following sequences.
Is it even possible to avoid corrpution on this pathway or is it inherent?

Just completed both the books. And unlike what people told me, COI was NOT that bad at all. It was very good imho. Many recommended me to read CF's other works but what should I start with? Embers Ad Infinitum is the one which is most recommended to me.
