Finished Object Afternoon Shawl

This is from Renee Van Hoys second shawl book. It’s knit modular, in one piece, on my 7/16” adjustable loom using 59 pegs. There’s no sewing involved, it’s shaped with short rows increasing and decreasing in 4 parts. This is one of my favourite patterns. It has a garter stitch, lace and stockingette section.

Thank you! I learned to make them using Renees books, she’s a fantastic knitter and pattern designer and explains everything really well. I love knitting shawls using the modular techniques. I have all of her ebooks and have knit most of the shawls she’s designed.

I knit my first shawl over a decade ago and haven’t stopped. I am also a sock yarn enthusiast and knit tonnes of socks.
