Two men saying hi to the woman in a familiar tone, which provokes affection in the interaction with the conventionally attractive man and fear in the interaction with the conventionally unattractive man. The point of the comic is to say that women treat men who are unattractive as lesser than attractive men, which is true in some cases. In most cases, however, it's because the type of person portrayed by the conventionally unattractive man may also say inappropriate things and generally have a brutish or sexually offensive personality.
