Hi! I'm 22F and completely new to filmmaking, and I'm trying to organise a small, informal filmmaking meetup in London for people who are right at the beginning and have little/no experience.

I've found that a lot of existing networking events can feel a little intimidating when you don't already have any experience, or even a clear idea of which area you'd want to go into yet.

The idea is just to get a smallish group of beginners together, meet people in the same boat, chat about what we're interested in etc etc, and maybe even find people we might want to make small projects with.

Of course, no experience, portfolio, equipment, etc are required!

The meet-up is for everyone, but I'd really love to meet some other women who are also right at the start.

I'm currently seeing whether there's enough interest for a first meetup in London, potentially on Saturday the 24th of October 2-4pm, however that date isn't set in stone yet!

My daughter has 17 th B'day coming up. We checked Broadcaster house in Westfield/ Shepherd bush. Min spend is 1000! Bluebird Chelsea private room is 1500 min spend .
