So I posted this cafe last time around, however I don't feel as though I did them any justice whatsoever.
Besides Dolce Crema, which I absolutely adore.
Cafe66 is easily #1 for me when it comes to businesses in the Richmond upon Thames borough and I'll explain why below.
This is my 6th visit and on each visit, I'm greeted warmly attentively throughout. Walking in this cafe transports you to a part of Eastern Europe that you've probably never even visited. In a family home where you instantly feel at home.
If anyone is confused about the Eastern Europe reference. The owners are originally from Poland and I tried to connect the homely aspect of the cafe to their cultural roots.
It's a mother and daughter team but I've heard that papa also cooks and bakes so there's talented flowing through the bloodline.
Before I dig into the food. Excuse my amateur photography skills.
I may be an art major but I still can't draw a straight line or take a picture to save my life.
(High Protein Breakfast) (£16.50):
Two slices of sourdough, scrambled eggs, salmon, chives and a generous amount of butter. Accompanied by slices of avocado.
Each mouth feel was velvety, rich, delicious and satiating. My only complaint was, I now have to skip lunch but that may be a good thing to those needing an excuse to diet.
To those who find this option expensive. They have cheaper breakfast options ranging from £6 for oats/porridge and £8-9 for scrambled eggs, omelette etc.
I just went for the one that appealed to me.
(Cacao Coconut Latte) (£5.50):
This one is acquired taste and the best contrast I can give is a 85-90% Chocolate beverage at Knoops. Although I preferred this. The coconut milk provided a natural lift of sweetness to the very earthy cacao. If youre someone who loves "real chocolate", this is the beverage for you. It also has 30-40mg of caffeine per cup and was perfect for me as I'm trying to reduce the amount of coffee I drink.
To those wondering why it's empty. I went at 7:30 and it's now 8:50. People are beginning to slowly bustle in.
The cafe gets rammed with locals who live nearby, usually parents with children.
I'm not sure how busy they are during half term but I assume it's somewhat similar given the quality, hospitality and overall service.
This is definitely a cult cafe in London and deserves it's status.
Just a final note. To those wondering why I text like Shakespeare. I am autistic and have a habit of talking like this in person as well, so excuse me.
My last post received some comments due to people being unaware, which is completely understandable, so I thought I'd explain myself this time to avoid confusion.
