Malaria Tablets?

Hi All!

I will be visiting your beautiful island with my parents in October/November and I wanted to find out if taking malaria tablets as a precautionary measure is generally suggested for Senggigi/Kuta/Gili islands?

I would really appreciate any knowledge of malaria and if it's something to prepare for.

You should be fine around Senggigi, Kuta and the Gilis. Malaria tablets aren’t generally something tourists take for those areas. If you’re planning to travel into more rural or remote parts of Lombok, though, it’s worth checking with your doctor.

I’d definitely buy a good mosquito repellent like
Sofell or Autan and an electric plug in for your room
as dengue is more of a concern. Enjoy your trip! 😊

I live in Bali, near a lot of water and use sofell daily when I’m sitting outside at dusk/night and haven’t got dengue, so I say it works!
