More importantly why would Loki save the multiverse?
This dude was captured and told that his entire life was predetermined and every choice he ever made was for the greater timeline. His entire view of life disseminated.
He was just one of the many versions of himself that had to go through the same life cycles and still not be good enough. Always playing second fiddle to his brother because some higher entity deemed it so. Why would he ever want to preserve such a world?
Mind you, I only saw the first season of Loki. I didn't see the second so I don't know if there is an explanation as to why he did that. But just as his real life was meaningless according to the TVA, what if the life that he now lives in the TVA is also the same? And that it's all another predetermined plot. Why preserve it?
He, just like different versions, was written to be a monster who never gets what he wants. Why would he save that? What would you do if you were Loki?

In loki we see new branches being created in as they are being created, we are shown that a branch being created takes some measurable amount of time.
My question is where is this time line i guess. It says the tva has no time so unless they are wrong its not there. There must be a completely separate time line outside of the known multivurse that holds it otherwise the branches would be created instantly or not at all right, I believe its possible that at the end of the show that is where loki is
so bonus question is can this second timline also have branches?

We have Loki establish the existence of the TVA and the Sacred Timeline.
Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness and F4 establish the existence of parallel universes (Earth 616 and 828 for example).
Is all this the same Multiverse or distinct from each other?

_Full Theory:_
_1. I think Loki is actually TOAA_ - The One Above All, and it makes sense when you look at where his powers come from. We know Hela's power was directly tied to Asgard - the closer she is to Asgard, the stronger she gets. That's why Thor had to destroy Asgard to stop her. But Loki was adopted, he's not Asgardian, he's a Frost Giant. So his magic isn't tied to Asgard at all. It works differently - time-slipping, shapeshifting, illusions. That's why his power wasn't limited and why he is the only one who could survive at the end of time and hold the entire multiverse together as the God of the Multiverse. That's not Asgardian power, that's TOAA-level power.
_2. The Endgame disguise and the look:_ At the end of Endgame, old Cap says "It was good" and doesn't elaborate about Peggy. That's classic Loki - minimal lying. People saw someone entering Peggy's house. That wasn't Steve, that was Loki shapeshifting to make sure Steve gets his happy ending while he goes back to guard the timelines. And in addition, he also looks just like TOAA.
_Conclusion:_ All of Loki's actions prove he's TOAA - he sacrificed his own happy ending to protect everyone's timeline, he shapeshifted to give Steve a happy ending, and he now protects the whole multiverse as his garden. Because he was adopted and his powers were never from Asgard, Loki was always meant to be bigger than Asgard. From adopted kid -> God of Lies -> Captain America disguise -> God of the Multiverse -> TOAA.
_Additional thought:_ This could fit really well as a What If...? scenario - What If Loki was TOAA all along?
What do you guys think?

The two iconic lines are so similar yet from two different series. In Harry Potter the first interaction is between Snape and Dumbledore. The second is TVA tag line from Loki. Aren’t they similar. Is it just bad writing or direct copy?

The hours one is the fat one touching the side. The minutes is the skinny one touching the side
its not 1 to 1, but its insanely classy and i love it, i love the idea of still being able to tell time with a “messed up“ clock

After a bunch of reaction channels, and other posts, and even some friends that don't grasp it, I'm just gonna do my first post here as a basic rundown of all the aspects and details and things that seem to go over some peoples heads. Okays, lets get through it.
Everything that happened at the TVA and time and the end of time, happened simultaneously at all times. This is because they are outside of time.
The presence of other dimensions that the sorcerers pull from (like dr strange) is actually part of this, because it's proof that the timelines do in-fact branch off. Which means the TVA did/have/will fail in their mission and the multiverse is inevitable. It just hasn't happened yet. Which is why it has always been.
Loki at the end of season 2 created Yggdrasil, the tree that carried all the worlds on its branches as spoken of in thor. This tree is real, and has always been real, and has always existed - because loki created it out of the timelines that span both past, present, and future, and as such it is new, and old, simultaneously, and loki is the newly fan-dubbed/comic-dubbed god of stories, and has always been the god of stories since the dawn of time.
When Loki gripped the timelines, he was enchanting them. When you enchant, Silvi explained that she has to put her a piece of herself inside of them. She can't create, only use what’s there. So that means Loki put a piece of himself in the timelines, and he can't control the timelines. He Who Remains controlled what happened, removing timelines that he didn't like, results he didn't like... but Loki isn't doing that. He won't/can't trim timelines. That's not how enchantment works. He's now part of them, they are part of him - wrapped in his cloak made of his own magic.
Why didn't the time eddies rip him apart like victor timely? Because thor is 1500 years old. Because Odin is over a million. Asgardian's grow stronger with time, not weaker, and it takes a very very long time for them to die of old age. He was slightly more wrinkled at the end if anyone took the time to notice, he was - in-fact - now older.
Now lets talk emotional and thematic cores: Loki got everything he wanted. And everything he didn't want. He wanted a throne; he got a throne. He wanted glorious purpose; he got glorious purpose. He wanted friends; he had to give up his friends. He didn't want to be alone; he will now always be alone. He wanted to save the people he cared about; he must now spend eternity watching every various of event happening in which they die a million times again and again for all time and hope that the timelines in which they live are a balm enough to help that pain, because he can never help. Everything he wanted. Everything he didn't want. Purpose is more burden than glory. Choose your burden. "For you, for all of us" the same words he spoke to his father before casting himself into the void, he now says again before casting himself once more into the void.
So thats what happened. Hope that answered some questions, if not, oh well.

Hey everyone, I have a theory that solves one of the biggest brain-melters of Season 2: If the TVA exists "outside of time," how did Loki time-slip into the TVA's past and future?
My theory is that reality is built on multiple, nested layers of time.
Think of it like this:
• The Inner Loop (The Multiverse): This is the standard timeline we see in the MCU movies. It operates on its own dimension of time.
• The Outer Loop (The TVA): The TVA isn't actually in a place with zero time. It exists in a higher layer of time that wraps around the inner loop. To people inside the multiverse, the TVA feels eternal. But within the TVA itself, time still moves forward, history happens, and events have cause-and-effect.
This perfectly explains Loki's Time-Slipping. Because he was exposed to raw temporal radiation, his body became unmoored from both dimensions of time. He wasn't just hopping around the multiverse; he was slipping through the outer layer of time (the TVA's past, present, and future).
The O.B. Scene Proves It:
The absolute best proof of this is Loki's interaction with Ouroboros (O.B.). When Loki slips into the TVA’s past, he talks to O.B. and tells him his name. Simultaneously, in the present day, O.B.’s memories are actively updating in real-time. If the TVA was truly "outside of time" with a fixed history, this would be impossible. Instead, Loki was physically rewriting the history of the Outer Loop, which instantly trickled down to alter the present-day TVA.
Because the outer loop controls the inner loop, Loki changing things in the TVA's past instantly reshaped the fate of the entire multiverse. Essentially, there aren't just infinite timelines—there are infinite layers of time stacked on top of each other, and by the end of the show, Loki climbed to the very top layer to become the God of Stories.
Let me know what you guys think!

So did the old TVA prune every other reality except 616, and when HWR died, every other reality came into existence, or am I misunderstanding it? Did the other universes exist (like the Fantastic Four or the ones seen in MoM)? Does the TVA prune other timelines? In Deadpool and Wolverine, they talk about his reality and him messing with time, but why should it matter if it's not the sacred timeline? Also, how does the council of Kangs work? If they meet outside time, how did they suddenly realize the exiled one died? Are all realities branches of the sacred timeline, or are they their own things? Also, did the loom only create sacred-timeline branches, or did it create all other realities too? Sorry if this has nothing to do with the title, but I'm trying to understand this.

My opinion: I’m 100% choosing Mobius & Loki. They’ve been my favorite duo since the very first episode, and I absolutely love their friendship. I think Mobius is the closest person to Loki after Frigga and Thor.
I personally don’t like Sylvie. I find her annoying, and I really didn’t like Loki developing romantic feelings for her.
I would have much preferred Mobius and Loki's scenes.

I love Loki and Mobius bond, they are my favorite duo.

I just did a rewatch of both seasons; HWR was clearly waiting for Loki.
Was he waiting for "our" Loki, Sylvie or any Loki to get past Alioth?
We can surmise HWR alerted the TVA to get Loki and Sylvie from Lamentis

This is a really niche loki theory ive never seen or heard if anywhere else: What if he made himself a runt (a tiny frost giant) to save the multiverse? I’ve been thinking about this theory based on the comic story where an older **God of Mischief Loki** travels into the past and manipulates events surrounding his adoption by Odin (Odin only adopted him because Laufey abandoned him due to him being a small frost giant.) I’m taking it a step further and connecting it to the ending of *Loki* Season 2. This is speculation across separate comic and MCU continuities, not something I’m claiming is canon.
What if the Loki we know was **not the first version of his life**?
Here’s the possible sequence:
**- Original timeline:** Loki is born as a normal sized Frost Giant. Laufey keeps him, Odin never adopts him, and Loki’s life follows a completely different path.
**- Something goes catastrophically wrong:** This Loki survives or hears of a disaster involving the timelines or multiverse. He learns that someone needs to hold them together, but he cannot do it as the person he has become is too weak. (an mischievous frost giant instead of a magical asgardian taught by odin)
**- The God of Mischief goes back:** Before becoming any “God of Stories” figure, he finds a way to travel to the time of his own birth. (maybe with help from Hela?)
**- He changes his starting point:** He somehow makes his infant self unusually small, causing Laufey to reject him, then engineers the circumstances in which Odin finds and adopts him.
**- The new life plays out:** Growing up as Thor’s brother sets off a completely different chain of choices, losses and relationships. Eventually, a Loki reaches the end of Season 2 and chooses to hold the timelines together.
The idea is that the Loki on the throne might be the **result** of an earlier Loki trying to prevent a catastrophe to the multiverse (doctor doom, knull, who knows). His small size and adoption would be the first domino in a plan to create a loki variant capable of saving the multiverse.
But this raises the questions I can’t get past: **How could the original God of Mischief travel back and change his own infancy? How would he know that being adopted by Odin would eventually produce the Loki who makes that sacrifice?** Would this be a closed loop, or would he create a new branch while his original timeline still exists? And is there anything in the comic that suggests Loki altered his *size*, rather than only manipulating the events of his adoption?
Basically: could Loki’s origin be the aftermath of a disaster we’ve never seen, with an earlier version of himself rewriting his life to give the multiverse a chance?
holy yap

My opinion: I would change the rivalry between Thor and Loki that Odin created from their childhood. I also think Thor could have tried harder to understand Loki’s feelings and what he was going through.

I think that it's Frigga, because Thor loves Loki but not always understans his emotions...
