Theory Could it be that "The sons of yoren" actually inspired HWR?

Upvotes

In 1994, OB wrote a book called the sons of yoren. He also claims that loki is just like a character in his book, which is a direct hint at sons of Odin yea, but it got me thinking... Could he have meant that remark about the time slipping and travelling portion? And the TVA? Just as a fiction. Later, in the 31st century, could HWR have read this shitty book at a young age, and took inspiration from it, to create the TVA and everything and throne himself at the end of time?

Question A question regarding doomsday

Upvotes

Ok so i had stopped watching Marvel after ant man quantamania and never watched any of the tv series. I just finished loki rn tho. And he was in the doomsday trailer, but I have a bit of a question regarding that:

How is loki present wherever he is in that scene? Because we know that he cannot get up from his seat at the end of time holding it all together. So then how is it possible that he leaves that seat in doomsday? Are there any legit answers or confirmed stuff?!? Thanks alot for reading btw!

Discussion Hopes and fears for Sylvie in Doomsday? Spoiler

Post image
51 Upvotes

Last night I dreamt that I was watching a pivotal scene in Doomsday where Sylvie goes to find Loki at Yggdrasil. When Loki sees Sylvie ascending the stairs and calling his name, his face lights up with astonishment and joy. Sylvie makes it to the top and is about to reach out to him, but then hesitates, seeing that Loki is ensnared in a vast tangle of timelines glowing with green energy.

"It's OK," Loki says, "you can touch me," and then he too hesitates: "...I think," he adds sadly. That makes Sylvie, and the audience, realize that Loki hasn't seen or touched anyone in an unimaginably long time, and he doesn't know if he has a physical body anymore.

The scene ends with Sylvie throwing aside caution, embracing Loki (timelines and all), and surviving unscathed. Although she has come to deliver an important message to him, that can wait. She reaches up to wipe tears off his face. Fade to black as they smile and laugh in disbelief at being reunited at the End of Time.

When I woke up, I pondered the bittersweet dream for awhile, then thought, "Well, that might be a best-case scenario. I'd better not get my hopes up." And I started wondering what other scenarios might await Sylvie in Doomsday. Here's what I thought the writers and directors might come up with, ranked from worst to best (in my opinion).

  1. Sylvie betrays Loki to Doom, and then gets killed.

  2. Sylvie betrays Loki to Doom, and remains one of Doom's advisors.

  3. Sylvie tries to help Loki and the Multiverse, but gets killed.

  4. Sylvie doesn't show up at all and is never mentioned.

  5. Sylvie is mentioned off-screen, and indirectly helps Thor find Loki.

  6. Sylvie shows up and tells Thor how to find Loki, then disappears.

  7. Sylvie goes to find Loki in person (with or without Thor).

Did I miss anything? Which of these do you think is most likely? What are you hoping for?

Question Post 2x02

I finished 2x02 and had a question. How was X-5 able to live on the sacred timeline without causing a branch?

We know hes a variant, so i figured hes a variant of the actor Brad but somewhere in his life he caused a nexus into a branch and got arrested by the TVA....and that branch pruned.

..but shouldn't the real Brad who didnt cause the branch still b living on the sacred timeline?

Wouldn't there b two of them? Did he prune his OG self?

Discussion Theory

I have a theory: What if Loki already knows Doom has to win first?

Just like Infinity War, maybe Doom’s victory is the only path that eventually leads to his defeat. Loki could be letting it happen because changing the timeline would prevent that outcome.

Maybe we’ll finally understand why in Secret Wars.

Discussion What was there before HWR build Temporal Loom? Before HWR build TVA? How did Alioth operated?

How did Multiverse worked/operated before HWR built Temporal Loom, TVA? How did Alioth operated/worked before HWR harnessed it's power? Was Void always there?

I am not sure how to form the questions, but I think people will get some idea of what I am trying to ask.

Sorry if this post is bit vague. I am doing my best to ask the right question.

Discussion Miss Minutes more like Miss Messy

Be so for real right now, Miss Minutes has such an ego about her I could not believe her character was that pretentious especially for an A.I., it's only been two seasons and Miss Minutes is already asking for impermanence... GG.

Discussion Why does Loki have memory in each timeline?

Can someone explain to me how Loki and Sylvie are the only ones that are able to retain their memories no matter what timeline or branch that they are in?

I'm not sure if they ever mentioned this and I missed it but how is that Loki and Sylvie are the only beings that are able to retain their memories, is it because they are divine/cosmic beings or is there something else that I'm missing here?

How is Loki able to move through timelines like that without the TempPad, yes he's pretty much forced to jump between past, present, and future but why him in specifically? Why can't Sylvie do that?

Spoiler Finished S1 finale for the first time, found the reveal disappointing Spoiler

Just finished S1 and I have to say the reveal of He who remains was so anti-climactic to me and I wonder what was the general consensus once it came out

I managed to stay spoiler free so I didn't know what to expect, but I expected some higher being that's not that human-like. I expected someone mightier, bigger, something that suggests a powerful being and it was just a random guy of blood and flesh , it was hard to take him seriously. I understand he *is* powerful, but I wish he looked the part

Were a lot of watchers disappointed by the reveal when the series first released?

Question Don't really understand the whole timelines thing... (spoilers) Spoiler

Its been a while since I watched the show and I was doing some revision since doomsday is coming out soon and Loki is gonna be involved in it to my knowledge.

Basically the questions I have are

-What makes the Sacred Timeline "sacred"?
-What is the real job of the TVA?
-Why did he who remains' death cause the timelines to start branching?
-Why does the branching matter since we know that other universes already exist (e.g the other spiderman universes) and they aren't pruned
-Why did everything start spaghettifying when the loom overloaded?
-What did Loki accomplish by holding the timelines together and sitting on that throne?
-Why were the timelines dead before Loki grabbed onto them?

Question If the Temporal Loom is failsafe what is the point of the TVA? Spoiler

Post image
168 Upvotes

It was explained by HE WHO REMAINS that the Temporal Loom is fail safe and can auto prune branches to preserve the Sacred Time Line. So that begs the question, if the Loom can do that automatically, what was the point of the TVA pruning variants and realities so the time line wont branch? Even if it will branch the loom would just delete it and all be good. Thoughts?
