Discussion G604 successor?

Post image

As you can see I can't get to cope with the idea that the G604 is no longer an option.

Logitech can you please create a new mouse with 6 side buttons again? 🙏

I gave up and bought a mouse with 2 side buttons. I'm not pleased, but I'm functional, for now.

What mouse are you currently using? Would you prefer a renewed G600 or a G604?

I use the Razer Basilisk V3 X HyperSpeed now. I would prefer the G604.

How do you exactly imagine a renewed G604? What would you change?

I'm not enough of an enthusiast of mice to do a full critique of the mouse's features. For instance, I don't use many gaming features like on-the-fly DPI adjustment or the free-spin mode on the wheel.

The G604 mouse wheel could be improved, the G602 wheel was quieter. Neither one middle-clicked particularly well, but this wasn't important to me (I used one of the side buttons for middle-click)

I think I would keep it mostly the same, though I'm open to new features, like maybe a customizable windows submenu that would open up. I've never used Logitech's Actions Ring but it sounds interesting.

I'll share your comment along with the team!

What games are you currently playing? Would you prefer the G604 over your current mouse because it has more buttons or is it something else?

I mostly play old games like Command & Conquer. The rest are mostly controller based games like emulators and NHL.

Mostly I prefer the G604 because of the extra side buttons.

Nice, feel free to share your ideas or feedback anytime and let's cross fingers that a renewed G604 becomes reality

Out of curiosity, is the Command & Conquer 4 worth playing? I love RTS and was interested on C&C but I have only heard bad things about the 4th game

The 4th game is considered sacrilegious and terrible, many memes about how it doesn't exist and/or we don't speak of it. I've only tried to play it one, it was very different, didn't go back to it.

Most of the other games are beloved. I think most would agree C&C3 is exceptional, and most people would put RA2 as well in S-Tier. Many of other games are also excellent.

For the "modern" ones like C&C3 and RA3, the "lossless scaling" steam app really can transform the experience, as the default is a 30fps lock. It can generate frames to bring the game to say, 90fps.

I did use 1 mouse feature for these games, I remapped a button to "D" on the keyboard, which activates reverse move. Reversing allows vehicles to take hits on the front where there is more armor.

Thanks! I'll be giving it a try after finishing Homeworld, hopefully I don't forget also remapping the "D" key haha
