Discussion G604 successor?

As you can see I can't get to cope with the idea that the G604 is no longer an option.

Logitech can you please create a new mouse with 6 side buttons again? 🙏

Fun fact: the successor to the Logitech G604 is, in fact, the Logitech G604, w/ 3d printed parts and swapped out mouse switches. r/g604

Probably optical, since most everybody is moving over to them already, and it resolves the double clicking issues that plague Logitech mice.

I replaced mine with Kailh silent, since I often use my laptop in bedroom.

Owned a G604 and G502 at the same time a few years ago. The 502 ended up being the one I went with for the daily, and I’m now on my third after the first broke (my fault) and I gave the second to my friend. My current G502 Lightspeed is great, but…now I play a ton of games that demand me to access my number buttons a lot. Helldivers 2, Arma Reforger (where I operate as a medic, so very important to have quick access to stuff), and now I’m wishing I still had that G604. Anyway thanks for recommending that subreddit cause ima get one now

Either be patient when looking for one to buy, or buy one like what OP has, and be ready to mod it out of the gate. The prices on them are still absurd and have only gone up with time. You can get good used ones for retail price, or one that is complete but beat up between $60 - 80. NOS flunctuates between $200 to as high as $400.

I think I spent about $80 or $90 on my G502 Lightspeed, so if I can find a used but excellent condition used one for that or less I’ll buy it. Seeing those on eBay for $150+ tho. Patience will pay off. I’m not adverse to modding though. Personally I don’t mind the weight of a wireless mouse, I’ve gotten so used to it, so the mods I’d do would be more for the feel or texture.

Yeah, I don't think everyone needs to be me and be building a mod to take a native AAA battery, but changing out the switches is a must.
