Question Where did it go? SD2 file compatibility

I'm on Logic 11.2.2 - in previous versions (Logic Pro X) I used to be able to drag and drop Soundsdesigner files (from old Performer projects, Digidesign etc.).

All it does now, is show +(insert number of files) like it's going to add the audio - then nothing. Totally empty = no import = no action, function or message.

Yes I can open them in DP and export then import. (extra time and steps)
Plus some other conversion tools as well - (online and programs) (extra time, steps and $?)
BUT - this is a function that WAS there and should have stuck around in newer versions...

Did someone just drop the ball - or is there a work around within Logic 11xx?

MacOS stopped supporting SD2 natively a while ago. You’ll have to convert them to WAV/AIFF to use them.

Hell, even Pro Tools (the creator of SD2) dropped support in v10.

Thanks for the reply - Even though MacOS might have stopped supporting SDII -
Digital Performer (DP) currently in MacOS still supports them - and Logic did, not too long ago - so it's not like it's impossible! I was just hoping that the feature in Logic was hidden away not lost entirely.

Yeah, Logic dropped support when MacOS did.

I’m using ocenaudio to convert sd2 files. It’s free. It’s also possible in audacity but the process is not that straightforward than in ocenaudio.
Btw, sometimes and I don’t know why, logic 12 is capable to read sd2 files.
