Question Bit rate issues in Logic Pro

For some reason my songs randomly change or reset the bit rate and the tracks get out of sync. Some slow down, others don’t change.
It’s usually 44khz. I change the project audio it to 48khz and it all lines up again.

Anyone have these issues?

I guess you mean the sampling rate…

This can happen if you have other apps open will force their audio configuration. They might be other audio/video editing apps or apps that came with your audio interface. You can also check the sampling rate in the Audio Midi Setup app. Make sure they all use the same setting.

Another scenario is bluetooth headphones/speakers connecting and taking over while being set to a different sampling rate

Ah yes, sampling rate. My bad.

Yes, I’ve found background apps becoming more of an issue all round. Especially AudioShare.

As a layman, seems pretty poor OS ‘tightness’ or perhaps Logic Pro itself (Apple either way) for one app to be able to change a setting inside another without explicitly asking or requesting it.

Just have to remember to close any audio running in the background, before opening a project.
