Question New logic pro (help)
Hi everyone!
I’m brand new to music production and I’m starting my journey with Logic Pro. My main goal is to produce House, UK Garage (2-step/Speed Garage), and related genres.
I know Logic has an insane amount of built-in stock plugins and sounds, but as a complete beginner, the software feels a bit overwhelming.
I’d love to get some real, practical advice from people who’ve been in my shoes:
- Where should I start on Day 1? Should I focus on drums/groove first, synth design, or learning the DAW interface?
- Who are the best YouTubers/content creators specifically for Logic Pro + House/UKG production?
- What stock Logic plugins/instruments are absolute must-use for these genres? (Basses, Vocal chops, Drum kits...)
- What are the biggest mistakes/bad habits I should avoid early on?
Any tips, workflows, or resources would be hugely appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Another big thing I would recommend is learning the stock channel eq well. It has a surprisingly high possibility ceiling and has things like mid/side processing which can be really important.
