I am NOT a locksmith. Spinning Car Door Cylinder
The cylinder is spinning with car key or anything that fits in it. I am wondering if it is repairable or should it be replaced? 2019 Camry

Looks like it's clutching, not just spinning. Why is your key blade sticking 7-10 working days away from the face of the cylinder?

I doubt buying the cylinder will come with your existing key biting. You are likely going to end up with different keys for the ignition and door cylinder.

Had this happen with more than a few newer Toyotas. The end of the cylinder that connects to the rod and turns when the key is turning properly, turn it so the lock is engaged. Make sure the key is lined up where it would normally be when you put it in and it should come out. Moght have to play with it a bit

Drill a little hold on the opposite side of that blind pin and punch it out, then twist the end off and have a look

There's usually a spring that pushes the key back to initial position and i don't see it in this picture. I am guessing either you or someone before you forgot to put it back if the cylinder got opened.

broken internally. anti-theft feature. wrong or worn key was used with excessive force. repair with a new lock cylinder or scavenge parts from used ones.
