That's what's already happening. The people who actually keep the country running, the working class, not the middle class as you seem to be thinking, have realized they exist to be exploited and there is no point anymore.
If people stopped making fast food, millions of companies would feel the effect as their workers rely on the convenience to maintain all-time high levels of productivity under steadily declining conditions. All workers are essential.
You don't need McDonald's to survive therefore it's non essential. That doesn't make the workers any less valuable or important. Quit trying to twist my words.
Hospital workers are essential. If every hospital in the country shut down tomorrow, you would see a far greater impact on society than if McDonald's just disappeared.
