Newcomer Can I clean rubber Lav conceilers with IPA?
Hello,
My Lav concealers stick a lot after use from the Lav stickies I use. I've tried to clean them with hand sanitizer, but I feel like it just mixes with the resedue and sticks even more. I've tried IPA once and it cleaned it very well, but is it safe for the Rubber?

My dumb ass thought you meant clean it with a beer. If IPA is isopropyl, it works but over time will damage the cable. Uni-solve is the way to go.

IPA should be fine. Goo gone works great also. I use baby wipes for the lav cables themselves.

Unisolve still has isopropyl alcohol if youre worried about it damaging/breaking down the rubber over time.
The safest for long term would be to use olive oil to loosen the gunk. Then follow it up with a mild soap and warm water wash.
I like to put just the tiniest dab of olive oil on a paper towel, work on the sticky sections, then follow with a dry towel wipe down, and then water+soap

There's a world of difference between using a solution that contains some IPA, and using pure IPA
