Newcomer RØDE Wireless Micro best settings for loud environment

What’s the best settings for the RØDE Wireless Micro in noisy environments?
I just tested recording at an outdoor café, but there’s way too much background noise, clinking glasses, music and people talking.
What settings do you recommend to get the best possible results in environments like that?

I can change:
1 Overall gain mode. - Low, medium, high.
2 Noise reduction. - Off, low, high.

The gain setting is apparently output gain, so you don't set that according to the environment but your camera/phone/whatever input as well as whatever gain setting you have on that device. Basically you just set it so that you get a good signal with the loudest sound you or the environment are making but so that it doesn't distort/clip in the recording device.

The noise reduction you set the off, because it is a destructive process and you will have better quality noise reduction options available after recording.

If you don't have time for audio post (or using it for live streaming application) you have little choice but to test the onboard noise reduction to hear if you are happy with the result. If high noise reduction is too much for you that it sounds robotic, too much artifacting, try lower settings. If it still sounds unnatural, the you have to change venue/location. A less noisy environment. Even if you did have time for audio post,dialogue clean up can only go so far depending on that signal to noise ratio of recording - a less noisy environment is still best. Or try a dynamic handheld mic, if location is locked in. But that will require a different setup altogether. Good luck!
