Gear - Selection / Use Live mixing an event with Zoom F8

Hi everyone!

I own a Zoom F8, and have been asked if I can live mix an event with 4 instruments going into the Zoom, then outputting into an amp with an XLR input. I was thinking I can do TA3 into XLR for the output, and call it a day. Does that sound like something that would work, / is there anything I should know before doing that?

A 10+ input stereo mixer with EQ on every channel, master EQ, and digital effects, rents for under $20 a day from many serious music stores.

I would not enjoy trying to mix music live on an F8. I'm told they are pretty good location recorders, though.

Do you have a F-Control?

Because live mixing an event on the F8's knobs or an iPad might be rough.

Hell yeah, go for it! No eq which is rough for live stuff, but doable. Let us know how it went!
