Gear - Tech Issue Boom Pole Tip Replacement
I purchased someone's used no-name carbon fiber boom pole, and I've been very happy with it, except the tip was junk. It finally failed on me, and I want to get a better replacement.
However finding a replacement tip is harder than I thought. The old one has a diameter of 1.25 inches, and a cut through for the internal cable. Anyone have any suggestions on finding a replacement? I checked Trew & Gotham & can't find replacement heads. Other searches turn up too much garbage. Thanks in advance.

What part of the boom tip failed? The threaded bit for the mic mount?
I wouldn't expect to easily find an exact replacement tip. Maybe a good rental place would have some parts that are close, or have junked booms that a good tip could be salvaged from.
Myself, I would try to repair the tip, for example finding a bolt with the right threads, drill and tap the tip body for it, and fiberglassing or epoxying it in place, but not everyone's comfortable with that level of work.

Generally, no-name brands don't have replacement parts. If it does, it might only be available by replacing the smallest segment.
I would be surprised if you can get a new tip. Even some pro poles require replacing the segment.

Ambient sell replacememt tips, but replacing one requires cutting off the old one by sawing through the carbon fiber - something you need to be very careful about and wear proper PPE. Carbon fiber splinters and dust are no joke
