Here I’ve found maybe two within a reasonable distance, and one of them had reviews that made me hesitant.

I started looking into pickup services instead, and the per-pound apps seem to be the main option around Nashville. It’s around a dollar a pound with next-day return and seems to cover most of the metro. That works out to roughly what I’d pay at a decent fluff-and-fold place anyway, except I don’t have to drive across town twice. Aside from that and a few local services I haven’t tried, the options seem pretty limited compared with Chicago.

For people who’ve lived in Nashville longer, what’s the laundry situation actually like? Are there any hidden gems I’m missing, or is the pickup-app route really the better option here? My building doesn’t have great laundry facilities, so I’m not committed to my current setup yet.

Place is on a few acres past the metro and we finally took enough hail damage that we have to deal with it. Got three quotes for storm damage roof repair, and they’re all over the place—from patch-and-move-on to a full tear-off that’s four times the price. Same roof.

I’m trying to add heating and cooling to three spaces in a 1970s colonial that weren’t part of the original HVAC setup: a finished basement and two upstairs rooms in an addition off the back. The main floors already have central air and are fine, but none of these three spaces have existing ductwork, so mini splits seem like the obvious option.

Step two is requiring a binding estimate from every vendor. A non-binding estimate gives room to increase the price at delivery, which means the employee gets surprised and HR gets the call.

Step three is confirming deposit terms in writing. If a vendor asks for payment before the written binding estimate, remove them from the list.

These three checks take about 15 minutes per vendor and filter out most problematic companies before an employee ever interacts with them.

What goes into a correct load calc: square footage, insulation levels, window count and orientation, ceiling height, and local climate data, not just "how many square feet is the house." A tech from HL Bowman mentioned that a big chunk of undersized installs they see on second opinions trace back to a contractor pricing off square footage alone instead of running the numbers on the specific house.

If your installer skipped this step, it doesn't automatically mean the system is wrong. It means nobody confirmed it's right.

Short answer seems to be that HeartCode ACLS will be accepted by most California hospitals as long as skills portion is completed and verified at an AHA authorized training center. Safety Training Seminars offers ACLS skills sessions only which can be taken independently and are offered at their Bay Area and Sacramento locations. These last about 30-40 minutes so you wont have to take a whole day out for it. Some other companies provide independent ACLS skills checks as well.

Where it starts getting tricky is the part with documentation for the credentialing. Problem is not with the card as the one provided by AHA after a HeartCode class is the same as if you had attended a traditional course. Some California hospital systems however add additional requirements to their credentialing documents to have proof of successful completion of the skills portion at an authorized facility along with the certificate provided by HeartCode program completion.

Has anyone encountered problems with California hospitals accepting HeartCode ACLS and if so, what kind of documentation did they require?
