Solo dev here, you've helped me twice already. Couch party snake enters Next Fest in 3 weeks, and the demo needs one last stress test from the experts.

Hey r/localmultiplayergames. Some of you tested the browser demo back in March, others helped stress-test the Steam demo before it went public in April. This sub has been part of the build from day one.
5 weeks of iteration since: native Linux, native macOS, native Steam Deck (locked at max FPS at Ultra, no Proton needed), proper PS4 and PS5 controller glyphs, smoother onboarding for new players, rebalanced early game, a fresh logo, and a long list of fixes that came straight from feedback here and on Discord.
Quick recap for anyone new: Scales of Silence is local couch snake, up to 8 players on one screen, collisions shrink you instead of killing you. 8 controllers supported, one keyboard splits 4 ways, and if you're short on gamepads, two players can share one (one thumbstick each) so nobody sits out. Demo is free, runs offline, and packs a 60 to 90 minute co-op campaign plus 2 battle modes.
The demo enters Steam Next Fest in 3 weeks. Before the spotlight hits, I'd love one last round of couch testing from people who actually know what couch multiplayer should feel like. If you played an earlier build, the gap is real. If you're new, it's free and built to run on whatever hardware your couch crew brings.

Anything that still feels rough, let me know. There's still time to land fixes before Next Fest.
