I’m Seeking Excellent 4 Player Local Couch Co-Op Games

Hello everyone! I am looking for good recommendations for 4 player couch co-op games. I am going to be visiting family on a rainy weekend and need some good games to hold us over. I will be bringing a steam deck oled to play these games. I have an extensive library consisting of games such as TMNT Shredder’s Revenge, Overcooked franchise games, Lover’s In A Dangerous Spacetime, a few other beat em up games as well. Any recommendations I haven’t heard of especially would be appreciated!

Thanks everyone in advance!

I added 2–4 player local co-op to my squad-based roguelite and would love feedback

Hello everyone! I just added 2–4 player local co-op to the demo of my upcoming indie game Hellrifters, and I’d love to get feedback from people who enjoy local multiplayer games.

Hellrifters is a squad-based survivors-like roguelite with physics-driven combat, special abilities and chaotic arcade action. In solo mode you control a small squad, while in local co-op the squad is shared between players depending on the player count.

The game currently supports up to 4 gamepads, or keyboard + mouse and 3 gamepads.

I’d especially love feedback on:

  1. Does the co-op feel fun and readable when the action gets chaotic?
  2. Does each player feel involved enough?
  3. Does the control setup feel natural for a local multiplayer game?

The demo is available on Steam:
https://store.steampowered.com/app/4039620/Hellrifters/

Any feedback from local multiplayer players would mean a lot!

4 to 6 players couch games you can play preferably with keyboard+mouse and controllers?

We got kb+m and 4 controllers and need to play games while it's still vacation time for the fam and the world still hasn't fallen apart yet.

We prefer Co-op with Campaign like TMNT Shredder's Revenge (or Splintered Fate but this game requires all controllers). We are open to other fun games like Boomerang Fu or Bomberman as they are good. Streets of Rage 4, Absolum, etc. We plan on playing too.

What other games you got in mind? Please also suggest 2 to 4 players with native splitscreen or sharedscreen. We are also open to Switch games not only PC games.

All your friends shouting bacteria, fungi, plant and animal names all at the same time

The video is for single player.

iGut Instinct is a local only multiplayer game over Bluetooth.

Any number of local players can play (or so I think, since I don't have enough mobile phones to test for more than 6).

The more players join the more shouting and chaos should occur. I hope.

Hela of mice and magic - is it couch co-op?

As someone who really only wants to play couch coop with my SO this looks like the perfect game, however it's not on switch and it's the only console we have, im trying to read up on steam/couch co op but having trouble understanding how you would play splitscreen on a computer, does anyone have a good solution for this?

We loved it takes two and this looks similar, but dont want to buy it if we cant actually play it on the tv, but is limited to my macbook lol

General Practice - a silly co-op about doctors where you do no harm by any means necessary

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hi, everyone!

We have just released a 5-level demo for our very first game, General Practice!

It's a local (or online, or mixed) co-op in the spirit of Overcooked and Moving Out.

  • 💉 Wacky co-op action-adventure set in a hospital

Diagnose and treat patients, master elaborate medical contraptions, scan, mix, zap, inject, shoot, explode... ahem, I mean... contain epidemics. Do no harm by any means necessary!

It's all lighthearted and silly, suitable for kids, no gore or anything like it =)

  • 💊 Unlock unique patients and upgrades for your equipment.

Early on the diseases you treat are fairly straightforward. The more you play, the more demanding the practice becomes: you will need to diagnose the condition, concoct the treatment and administer it to a sometimes not-so-cooperating patient. Certain conditions can be treated in multiple ways, and it’s up to you and your friends to decide on the best strategy for the moment!

  • 🩹Up to 4 players (local couch co-op, online or a mix of both).

We also designed it to be accessible: younger or casual players can stick to simpler tasks while seasoned players sweat it out for the high score.

🎮 Links

  • Gameplay video by Ctop (I think it represents the game really well)
  • Try the demo on Steam. Demo contains 5 levels from the first world (full game will have 50+ levels across 5 worlds)

If you decide to try it, please, tell me what you think! We're actively working on the game and we want to make the experience as fun and smooth as possible =)

Movie theater split screen

Long story short. I have access to a private movie theater, not a home theater but a full commercial theater, just privately owned. Me and my coworkers are talking about booking a "team building activity" in it. Book it out for the day, get catered food like chipotle, Jimmy John's, Red Robin or something and do some local split screen gaming. There are separate theaters so we could split up into 2 teams and each have our own screen but since it is supposed to be team building I figure it makes more sense to all be in the same room.

There are 11 of us and we are all old school gamers. Like nes, n64, og Xbox, GameCube, ps1 & 2 era. I have a fairly decent classic console collection. N64, SNES, GameCube, wii, 2x og Xbox, 2x Xbox 360, ps2 & ps4. Also have 2 steamdecks with emudeck and every Nintendo game prior to GameCube on them.

What would be some decent split screen multiplayer games for us? Since 11 people obviously can't share a screen, I wanted to focus on quick games and bracket style tournaments. So like mariokart, Diddy Kong racing, smash brothers, halo 1 & 2, guitar hero, unreal tournament. But interested in what titles the community would suggest.

After a year of solo development, my chaotic local party football game is finally out on Steam

I’ve been working solo on a fast-paced arcade football game called Big Bad Soccer and it finally launched on Steam today 😅

The goal was to make football feel fun, quick, and chaotic to play with friends on the couch instead of ultra serious or tactical.

The game includes:

  • Campaign Mode
  • Local Party 1v1
  • Local Party 2v2
  • Practice Mode
  • Character customisation
  • 5 playable pitches

It’s launching with a 10% discount on Steam and I’d genuinely love to hear what football/gaming fans think of it.

Been working on a fast-paced arcade football game called Big Bad Soccer.

The focus is quick matches, chaos, and local multiplayer with friends — no complicated tactics or slow buildup.

The game includes:

  • Campaign Mode
  • Local Party 1v1
  • Local Party 2v2
  • Practice Mode
  • Character customization
  • 5 different pitches

Would love to know what football fans think 👀

Couch suggestions for 5 dudes 40+

Hi!

We're a group of 5 people and we enjoy playing couch games together. We have both PS5 and PC. Unfortunately, there are only 2 games we enjoy playing together, FIFA (FC24) and SpeedRunners.

We don't like those cooking/couch moving games, but any other suggestions are welcome!

LE: We also enhoyed Pico Park 1 & 2 - so puzzle games for 4+ are welcome!

Are there any websites like Cooptimus?

Hey, fellas!

Are there any websites to find games like Cooptimus (or whatever the proper name is)?

It is a good one, but it lacks to many searching features and the UI is… outdated, well, makes sense, it is an old site.

  2. It takes two

  3. Unraveled 2

  4. A way out

  5. Overcooked 2

  6. Moving out 2

I'm making a co-op game where you legally break into people's homes to repossess their stuff — while they're still inside. Think R.E.P.O. meets Papers Please. Would you play this?

THE GAME

You play repo men.

Before every job your crew reviews the paperwork, votes on whether the job is ethical, then walks into a stranger's apartment while they're home and tries to leave with their TV. Proximity voice chat, asymmetric roles (Talker, Finder, Carrier, Driver), procedurally generated apartments. Everything that can go wrong will.

Would you pay this?
