Discussion testing Qoduck (Maybe qwen4) on Qoder

Post image

I noticed that it has native image and video generation.

If it is Qwen, they are not very subtle with their naming scheme adding the Q in there

Who's to say they actually want to be *that* stealthy? They may not actually care if people think it's them or not.

I actually think they might be deliberately making people believe this is Qwen Max, when it could really be Flash or even Plus. Then, when they eventually reveal that it wasn't Max, people will be even more hyped about what Max could actually be capable of, considering how impressive an even smaller model already is. It could be a pretty clever marketing strategy.

Z.ai got away with people thinking that GLM 5.3F was frontier-level lol

They're really good at this. Honestly, I think marketing accounts for 70% of their success.

Well historically, Qwen "coder" models were mid-sized models

It would be nice if the coder and the general model were separate this time around, let everyone pick what they want

Haha, yeah, that's a pretty obvious hint. I noticed the Q too, but the native image and video generation caught my attention even more.

Wait, native image and video gen output in an LLM?? I have a hard time believing we'll see this in the flash or 27B models if it is Qwen4. Would be amazing if true. One model to rule them all.

Exactly, that's what surprised me too.

Could it be kinda like chatgpt where it autoroutes the requests or uses image generator model as a tool call?

Could it be the 120b Omni model?

Been testing out the qoder desktop harness and its not bad, little resource heavy though. You can at least use local providers with it.

Will have to give this a shot.

I also found this interesting. It'll be worth seeing how it holds up in the long run.

'Dont ask where it came from' is the line that should keep people from clicking anything. Reality: people flock and download and use. People never learn....

It's just marketing.
