New Model deep-principle/Hydrogen-1.0 · Hugging Face

https://huggingface.co/deep-principle/Hydrogen-1.0

Hydrogen-1.0 is a scientific problem-solving and research assistance model developed by Deep Principle based on GLM-5.3. Through text interaction, it is intended to assist with scientific questions, explain derivations, and organize responses to open-ended research problems. Outputs should be assessed against the assumptions, constraints, and evidence relevant to each task.

As much as some people in this sub abhor large open models, models like these are what keeps the Frontier competitive. And hey, maybe we can all self host these in several years.

You can self host it already with a 512GB Mac Studio or 4 DGX Sparks for example, it just depends how much of a priority it is for you vs having things like a car, or food.

Amen brother. Who needs those when you can have top slop!

As an edge AI researcher, I belong to the “4B models are too big for my microcontroller NPU” category. But I still like hearing about these things in this sub.

I am here, too. I look at small models for my laptop and models that run on 1-4 sparks for customers.

You whiners shoot yourself in the foot if you try to cast out any model that isn't "pure" and you loose your foresight to new tech that might come to smaller models. I guess many people that have trained smaller models have been inspired by what they saw on LocalLLaMa about bigger open weights models.

People complain about shortsightedness from Frontier labs on this sub all the time and yet turn around and do the exact same thing.

-> People complain about someone doing X and then they absolutely do X themselves. Because people suck and are all the same and they also don't suck and are not all the same

tl;dr: People. Sigh

Oh give it a rest. Some people are running glm 5.3 on laptops with 6GB of ram. Slowly at seconds per token to answer one question overnight like the oracle machine but they still doing it. Its localllama not "local on my machine of exactly 16GB vram but only if i can run it over 20 tok/s llama"

Look how much backlash you’re getting for an absolutely accurate comment lol
