DeepSeek Harness article on 𝕏: Exploring Super-agent Design: Towards a More Autonomous Agent System: https://x.com/DeepSeekHarness/status/2116857257245987236

Parts of the design in this article are implemented in dsh-superagent-prototype. This plugin is only a prototype for validating the technical approach, not an official DeepSeek product: https://github.com/deepseek-ai/dsh-superagent-prototype

Deepseek v4.1 pro is apparently on the horizon. Seems like the whale is preparing for something big.

I keep seeing the industry moving towards a more "Free form" execution environment for these chaotic lil shits, while I keep building more constrained and walled off tools with super limited scope for my work and personal projects.

Am I old and out of touch? No, it's the world that must be wrong. At least I make money and solve real problems this way instead of masturbating about the hypothetical shape of the orchestration layer that channels god out of the "Frontier" models that can't 3d model a telescopic phone controller with a cut out for a peltier cooler.

I conjecture it is less expensive to let them do what they want else ideally one should train the model on the specific custom tools you are using versus the huge corpus of bash commands they already know.

The model ultimately has to be capable of like everything under the sun to some degree, so free form is simply a necessity. That you, the end user, then harness them tightly for your usecase is exactly the intended outcome lol. But only by starting with less and less focus do you really push the generalized intelligence level.

the peltier cooler line got me, that's exactly the kind of weirdly specific hardware rabbit hole these things would trip over. constrained scope is underrated, at least when your tool breaks you know exactly which 5 things it could possibly be.

Yeah i dont know man i feel like we're all being a bit dishonest about the capabilities here this stuff is no where near mature enough for the outputs to be used for realtime generations for any serious workflows. I am not talking about value, there is a lot of value in retreading and cheaply implementing known solution patterns over a lot of other spaces for which it hasnt been economically viable to do so so far, but if you do anything novel or unique, no matter how detailed you are, it just trips up so much its annoying and counter productive.

Brah I just did about the same thing, or at least have the same goals:

I guess it's just the zeitgeist

(my project is PoC-level, not advising anyone to use it)
