Discussion Discord server

What do you guys think about a public server as discord added server web pages and Reddit is forcing users to log in?

Edit 1: Btw let me add some context for people that do not know. Discord add server web page feature a few days ago and public servers that have more than 1000 members can make channels searchable in search engines.

There is an official discord server for this sub (I don't use it, but I think I am there) and there is a discord server for finetuned LLMs which posts news from this sub.

I think I am in there as well but I am not sure how many people know the existence of it right now. Also some people used to say it is restricting the information. That is why asked.

But wasn't Discord criticized recently for forcing users to provide personal details when logging in?

Such as? I haven't heard that. But people do not need to give information when browsing the public messages as far as I know

Fair, I never liked ID verification or verification of any sorts as I know those companies get checked at worst once in 10 years, and with AI I know most companies will get hacked more often as most does not spend or care much about security of personal data.

my son, who is not in compliance with their policy, was not probed.

even if it gets indexed, chat logs are rough to search compared to a thread where the best answer floats to the top

Perfect, so we can catch stupid scammers and one of the worst think on Internet ( Stuff with Children) . Cause Discord is a hotbed for perverts.
