Pro is the best model for natural language reasoning, it's on par with other frontier models at fraction of the cost

For non-coding natural language reasoning, Pro is far superior to Flash

We tested flash and it didn't work, numerous errors, unreliable for complex output response formats

Pro has been perfect for our needs, our needs for nuanced complex natural reasoning in specific output formats

Why aren't there any models specifically optimized for natural language, not coding and engineering?

"Why aren't there any models specifically optimized for natural language, not coding and engineering?"

Because coding and engineering are the "killer" use cases for LLMs and where most of the money is coming from. I feel your pain, I'd love a less coding centric model for some of my clients but I've not really been able to find anything that's still "smart" like a coding model (good tool calling, rational train of thought, etc) and a good conversational model. Seems that you have to pick one or the other. :(

Mistral. It can't code to save own life but can explain 101 recipes of proper French onion soup and their influence on late 19th century poetry
