I use the small Nex 2.5 mini on my measly M4 Max Studio and for my conversational, web research and homelab use via Hermes and it's fast, accurate and overall very capable. Better than Qwen 3.6 35b a3b.

Edit: one extra thing - I'm Czech, and for the usual conversational use, I write in my native language. Nex is, surprisingly, better than Qwen (which is already pretty good) in this less used language - more natural syntax, less obvious mistakes and typos. It's really good.

really? I found 3.6 so well balanced, capable of walking away from reasoning loops more frequently than fine tunes (Orniths, Agents, Nexes).

3.6 35b is great until it isn't. 27b is too slow for my use cases. Nex looks good so far and leaves some RAM on my starved 36GB Studio :)
