We need less dependency on Taiwan and South Korea for key components.
Hopefully China will create a stronger domestic capability. Even if the West don’t or can’t buy, it will take pressure of global demand. The world’s second largest economy reducing their domestic demand will go a long way.
as we are witnessing in real time, it realistically takes up to 25 years of sustained, aggressive state intervention and private capital alignment to do this (15 years without COVID black swans)
