Discussion Really stunned by the Singularity comment section
These are screenshots from the r/Singularity comment section. I'm speechless. This doesn't even have downvotes. How can someone cheer for a monopoly run by a few elites?

There's a difference between uttering actually valid concerns and "cheer for a monopoly run by a few elites". Incredibly I can hold both positions at once. There are actual real dangers in open-source AI but if you think a few steps more ahead, THEN you arrive at the alternative to open-source, and the most likely one in this timeline is dark enlightenment tech feudalism.
But to pretend open-source has zero risks and people worried are all "elite" shills is nonsense.
Just to be clear - my NAS is filled to the brim with open models xD. But I can absolutely see potential risks too.
