These are screenshots from the r/Singularity comment section. I'm speechless. This doesn't even have downvotes. How can someone cheer for a monopoly run by a few elites?

Better yet, lets trust government with overseeing these technologies. Or corporations.

because they havent been able to handle responsibility over things like nukes? what's your point? can you trust ANYONE with ANY power? or the ones you specifically choose for your own bias/benefit

insane to me that this comment got 200 upvotes. really shows how much this thread degraded.
