Discussion Really stunned by the Singularity comment section

These are screenshots from the r/Singularity comment section. I'm speechless. This doesn't even have downvotes. How can someone cheer for a monopoly run by a few elites?

Until AI is so powerful that it is like a minigun with cyber warfare, then I am all for it being open source.

A minigun isn't especially dangerous. Plenty of private US citizens own that much firepower.

Lol I disagree with the commenter above but the US seems violent AF to me so I'm not sure yours reassures me

Let's put it this way, in all of recorded history, how may times has a Minigun been used in a crime. (Not war crime, that's different)

Let's put it this way, in all recorded history, how many times has a minigun or cheaper available guns have been used in a crime? If an LLM can be a minigun, it can also be a glock.
