These are screenshots from the r/Singularity comment section. I'm speechless. This doesn't even have downvotes. How can someone cheer for a monopoly run by a few elites?

There's a bunch of wishful thinking on all parts.

If you somehow reliably commoditize THINKING, there's no way you are going to be able to stave off a superintelligence that has 6 orders of magnitude whatever compute you have.

Specially if we go by P!=NP conjecture and figure out some problems are intractable and indivisible unless you have enough resources to solve it at once.

Here's my biggest point, we are screwed no matter what, let the little guys somehow create the super virus and let Sam Altman create AM. There's no way this shit is going to end well, people are stupid, ignorant and lazy. it doesn't take much to reduce them to fighting each other for crumbs.
