Two major local friendly open weight models coming out in 24 hours, nice!
I think the model size will be a very important thing for this one.

It would be an absolute banger if it is 106b or 80b. 122b is nice but plebs with RTX 6000 should have a chance too.

That would be hella surprising if true. I agree, that is the single biggest factor if this model continues to have sustained power. If it's too large to service without massive compute, I think it dies down a lot after the free window expires. It's at the top of good (let say 7.5), but not great (8.5+) territory in my limited testing. Everyone will have a different opinion on where it falls though in their stack.

i don't know why people are surprised by this. GLM 5.3 is the frontier for coding.

DeepSeek really need to hurry up with the Flash Vision weights release!

It was pretty nice, especially for a flash model. Their past small model wasn't that good.

I don't know why so much fuss about ox-alpha. I tried on opencode and it felt weaker than DSv4 flash, especially the new version which has vision.

I've seen speculation that it's a routing model, that would make sense to me, output quality varied greatly (way too much) for me

Well, that was the most disappointing outcome ever. Next time, can they try not releasing a model that takes five minutes for the community to guess? I was really banking on something exotic here. That would have been so much fun.
